This week we feature a new home that is among about two dozen in the 2024 PA Parade of Homes, sponsored by the Home Builders Association of Metropolitan Harrisburg.
This home offers a sampling of what is in store for Parade of Homes visitors.
The 29th annual Parade of Homes gives visitors a chance to see innovative ideas from architects, builders and decorators while experiencing the latest in interior design, home technology and landscaping.
This week’s featured home, built by Garman Builders, is one of the home lots built by Garman Builders in The Porches of Allenberry, located in Monroe Township, a short distance from Boiling Springs.
Neighboring the Yellow Breeches Creek — renowned for its trout fishing, Allenberry Resort and Boiling Springs, the Porches of Allenberry is the “destination of a lifetime.”
A “serene and luxurious lifestyle” awaits in this Craftsman-style, single-family home community.
Garman’s Arbor model is the recipient of a pair of PA Parade of Homes awards for its price category: Best Exterior and Best Interior.
The Arbor home cuts a distinctive craftsman look with board and batten siding, white exterior molding accents, black framed windows with white molding, a high-peak roof with two shed dormers, and most importantly, the large wrap-around porch with black metal roof.

The dining room, with tray ceiling, located off the foyer entry, leads to the open floor plan family room and kitchen sharing a cathedral ceiling marked by wood beam accents. The centerpiece of the living room is the stone fireplace.
