Jinger Duggar Is Pregnant Again

19 Kids And Counting alumna Jinger Duggar Vuolo is pregnant.

Jinger, 30, is the sixth-eldest of the reality TV show’s titular “19 kids,” and she has already contributed two children to the Duggar family‘s “count.”

She and husband Jeremy Vuolo are currently parents to two daughters, Felicity, 6, and Evangeline, 3.

The Duggar family first came to widespread notice in 2004, after they participated in a proto-reality TV documentary on Discovery, 14 Kids And Pregnant Again!

19 Kids And Counting premiered in 2008, and remained a staple of that era of reality television.

Of the Duggars, Jinger in particular inspired an early online viewer movement known as “Free Jinger.”

While maintaining a titular focus on Jinger, the Free Jinger movement objected to the tenets of the Quiverfull culture with which her family is so closely associated.

What Is The Quiverfull Movement?
The Duggar family has served as something like the face of the Quiverfull movement since their ascent to reality TV stardom.

The Quiverfull movement is a
social and quasi-political movement
in Evangelical culture, with a focus on producing as many children as possible.

Dangers associated with the Quiverfull philosophy came to issue in 2011, when matriarch Michelle, then 45,
endured a late miscarriage
after a high-risk pregnancy.

Last year, Jinger acknowledged the existence of the Free Jinger movement, telling ET:

“In my heart, at that point, I thought, ‘Oh, that’s crazy that they would ever think that I need to be freed from anything, because I’m so content in the life I’m in.’

“I think I was probably one of the most avid rule followers in that setting, and I was like, ‘No, I don’t need to be freed from anything!'”

Jinger also published a book entitled Becoming Free Indeed, and she said the Free Jinger movement “had the best intentions in mind.”

Nevertheless, fans still fret over whether Jinger is truly free, and have pointed out “red flags” in her relationship with husband Jeremy — such as a large age gap.

Back in August, Jinger discussed growing up with so many siblings, admitting that the scarcity of amenities like hot showers and non-budget food were drawbacks of her family’s lifestyle.

Their Third Baby Is Due In March 2025

On October 15, People published an exclusive article about Jinger Duggar’s pregnancy announcement.

The magazine quoted Jinger, who spoke about her March due date and her relief with respect to the seasonal timing:

“We’re super excited. I’m actually all about it. Especially in the heat the past few days, I think I’m not super big pregnant and so I’m not having to worry about the extra heat.

“I’m like, ‘Oh man, this is going to be such an awesome thing to go through pregnancy, not in the summer.'”

We’re not sure if these count fans, per se, but users on Reddit’s r/DuggarsSnark had quite a lot to say about the news.

Those commenting were certainly viewers, as one remarked on the Duggar family’s tendency to hew to strict gender roles:

I hope she has a girl just so her two daughters won’t have to become a maid to the boy 🤦🏻‍♀️

In response, someone said they hoped the baby was a boy “so Jeremy maybe won’t pressure her into more kids until he gets a boy.”

It’s perhaps fair to say commenters were not fans, as the word “grift” was sprinkled liberally throughout the comments.

Under one comment about the baby’s gender, a user said:

“[Jinger and Jeremy] have [learned the baby’s gender]. She did a blood test on camera.

“She’s just saving that for another video to squeeze as much $$ out of the announcement as possible.”

Several commenters asserted they thought Jinger was “done” having children, but she told People: “Three was kind of what we had always said was a really good number … three or four. I don’t know. But I think three is what I’m leaning towards right now.”
