Essential Tips To Make Chicken Curry:

Before we dive into the recipe, here are some essential tips to ensure your chicken curry is a success:

Prep Smart: Begin by washing the chicken and allowing it to drain in a strainer. This prevents splatters when it hits the hot oil.

Organized Chaos: Prepare all your spices and ingredients in advance and lay them out on your kitchen counter. This will help you stay on top of things as you cook.

Golden Onions: Once your onions turn a beautiful golden hue, introduce the ginger and garlic paste. These two ingredients are the aromatic foundation of your curry.

Tame the Chicken: Give the chicken pieces a good fry to eliminate any raw odours. This step is crucial for a mouthwatering result.

Ghee or Oil: You have the choice of using ghee, oil, or a combination of both for your chicken curry.

Cooking Methods: This chicken curry can be prepared in either a pan or a pressure cooker. If you opt for the pressure cooker method, let it whistle only twice, and make sure to release all the pressure before opening the lid.

Indulge in this simple and delicious chicken curry, whether paired with rice or roti. Give this recipe a go, and you’ll be thanking us later.

    Happy Cooking!

  • Golden Bachelor star Gerry Turner, 73, still leads active lifestyle playing pickleball amid incurable cancer

Golden Bachelor star Gerry Turner, 73, still leads active lifestyle playing pickleball amid incurable cancer

Gerry Turner still leads a very active lifestyle despite being diagnosed with a slow-growing bone marrow cancer, Waldenström’s macroglobulinemia – which has no cure.

The Golden Bachelor star, 73, revealed the shock news to People in an article published on Wednesday – and stated that both he and ex-wife Theresa Nist had split  only weeks after learning of his diagnosis.

Earlier this year in January, the former couple tied the knot during a live televised special, but their divorce was announced only three months later in April.

Nist has since broken her silence on Turner’s cancer diagnosis – and expressed she had been ‘extremely upset’ upon hearing the news, but emphasized it did not play ‘a factor in the ending of the relationship.’

And during an interview with TMZ, Gerry shared that he has remained positive during his health journey and maintains an active, daily routine.

The TV personality explained that he plays pickleball three times a week for three hours, and will also enjoy a three-mile walk twice a week around a nearby, scenic lake.

Gerry has previously opened up about his passion for the sport of pickleball, and talked to USA Pickleball last year.

‘I think there’s a commonality across pickleball communities where it doesn’t matter whether you are in Indiana, Los Angeles, or Florida.’

He added, ‘The spirit of the competition stays the same, but it’s also not a cutthroat environment. People are inclusive with players who aren’t quite as good and that’s something that I’ve seen from coast to coast which I think is really nice.’

He further told TMZ that doctors have advised that he cut down on both his alcohol and sugar intake.

Despite the dietary restrictions, Turner shared that he has developed an interest in new adventures and said, ‘I get the benefit of living like I’m dying!’

Gerry’s cancer is incurable and he doesn’t begin any form of treatment until he shows symptoms of ‘headaches, dizziness, night sweats, and unusual bleeding’ – which he has yet to experience.

In the meantime, the reality star still undergoes extensive blood tests every six months.

He told TMZ that those who are diagnosed with Waldenström’s macroglobulinemia can live up to nine years before receiving a form of treatment for symptoms.

Nist has since broken her silence on Turner’s cancer diagnosis – and expressed she had been ‘extremely upset’ upon hearing the news, but emphasized it had not been ‘a factor in the ending of the relationship’

Turner explained that he is still in the early stages of that specific time frame, although he didn’t give exact details.

The star then expressed that he hasn’t asked doctors about what his own life expectancy could be.

While staying on the optimistic side of his health battle, Gerry also has plans to be involved with the International Waldenström’s Macroglobulinemia Foundation

According to the official website, the cancer is described as ‘a rare, slow-growing cancer of the lymphatic system.’

‘Cancers of the lymphatic system are called lymphomas. WM is a type of lymphoma called non-Hodgkin lymphoma…’

And while talking to People, Turner revealed he was diagnosed with the incurable cancer weeks before his April split from Theresa Nist.

He told the outlet, ‘I think it’s time, also because it probably will clear up a lot of mystery around what happened back in February, March and April.’

‘As Theresa and I were trying very hard to find our lifestyle and where we were going to live and how we were going to make our life work, I was unfortunately diagnosed with cancer.’

Despite the dietary restrictions, Turner shared that he has developed an interest in new adventures and said, 'I get the benefit of living like I'm dying!'

Despite the dietary restrictions, Turner shared that he has developed an interest in new adventures and said, ‘I get the benefit of living like I’m dying!’

‘Unfortunately, there’s no cure for it. So that weighs heavily in every decision I make. It was like 10 tons of concrete were just dropped on me. And I was a bit in denial for a while, I didn’t want to admit to it.’

He said it was ‘hard’ sharing the devastating news with Nist who was ‘understandably awestruck.’

Gerry said this played into their widely publicized comments about deciding to split due to location issues – as he lives in Indiana while Nist resides in New Jersey.

The dad and grandfather of two added, ‘I wanted my life to continue on as normal as possible.’

‘And that led me to believing that as normal as possible more meant spending time with my family, my two daughters, my two son-in-laws, my granddaughters.’

He continued, ‘And the importance of finding the way with Theresa was still there, but it became less of a priority.’

According to the American Cancer Society, the overall 5-year survival rate for people with WM is about 78 per cent, and the 10-year survival rate is about 64 per cent.

Turner said his road to discovering the disease began when he sustained a shoulder injury when he was knocked over during a pickleball game three years ago.

When he ‘finally’ visited an orthopedic surgeon, he was found to have unusual blood markers.

And while talking to People, Turner revealed he was diagnosed with the incurable cancer weeks before his April split from Theresa Nist; seen in April

He said it was ‘hard’ sharing the devastating news with Nist who was ‘understandably awestruck’

He was referred to an oncologist who found he had a ‘blood disorder’ which he said he knew ‘pretty much’ would be cancer.

Turner told Nist about his blood disorder in February and after undergoing additional testing and a bone marrow biopsy, some weeks later his cancer was diagnosed.

He told Nist in mid-March, weeks before their public TV split announcement.

Turner said he now plans to ‘pack as much fun into his life and enjoy every moment’ adding ‘And when I’m gone, I’m gone, but I’m not going to have regrets.’

He wishes his ex Nist ‘all of the good luck in the world’ and said he will always fondly remember the ‘glamour and starstruck, whirlwind time’ of their romance.

He said: ‘It was wonderful, and I certainly wish it would’ve had a different ending, that we would’ve found our way, that we would’ve found solutions to a problem. And most of all, that I would not have had a diagnosis that so strongly influenced my decisions and the direction I went.’

Nist also broke her silence on Gerry’s cancer diagnosis while talking to People, and admitted she had been ‘extremely upset’ when Turner told her the devastating news during a trip to Indiana in March.

‘He’s a very positive person and I am too, and I know that he will do the best that he can to make this a positive experience.’

Nist said she and Turner now seldom speak and that 'sometimes she can't believe' she got married and divorced in 2024

Nist said she and Turner now seldom speak and that ‘sometimes she can’t believe’ she got married and divorced in 2024

She added, ‘And I have every faith that is going to work out that way, that it’s going to be the type of cancer that will not affect his life and that he’ll live to be a very healthy old age.’

She said that Turner’s diagnosis ‘wasn’t a factor in the ending of the relationship, at least not for me’ and part of the reason was the distance between their Indiana and New Jersey homes.

Nist said she and Turner now seldom speak and that ‘sometimes she can’t believe’ she got married and divorced in 2024.

She added her final message to her ex was to ‘wish him the best’ and I’ wish for him a long and healthy, prosperous life, and I hope that he finds his person. I want him to be so happy, and I just wish him all the best of everything in the world.’

  • Bachelor star, 36, was accused of ‘faking her condition’ and ‘left sitting in her own mess’ in an Uber after bowel cancer surgery left her incontinent

Bachelor star, 36, was accused of ‘faking her condition’ and ‘left sitting in her own mess’ in an Uber after bowel cancer surgery left her incontinent

Sophie Edwards has revealed the devastating aftermath of her bowel cancer surgery.

The single mum from Adelaide, who starred on The Bachelor in 2016, was diagnosed with rectal adenocarcinoma – a form of bowel cancer – on June 14, 2022 despite having no family history of the disease and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

The 36-year-old manager was left suffering incontinence and had to wear an adult nappy following her surgical procedure.

That recently led to an accident when she played in the Super Netball Grand Final in August.

When she tried to use a disabled toilet at the venue, a woman questioned Sophie and accused her of faking her condition.

‘She was questioning what was wrong with me, and it just made me feel so awful’ Sophie tells Adelaide Now.

‘She made me feel so small, like I wasn’t a human being’ she added.

‘So I just left. I got into an Uber and sat in my own filth on the way home, just sobbing.’

After that hamulating experience, the former reality star had surgery to inset a sacral nerve stimulator, which has helped her manage her symptoms.

‘I’m never going to be 100 per cent like I was before cancer but this has given me some normality,’ she said.

Sophie thought she had a ‘tummy bug’ – but was diagnosed with stage three bowel cancer after visiting her doctor in 2022.

She told FEMAIL she noticed a change bowel habits 12 weeks before visiting a doctor, and at first physicians were dismissive of her symptoms.

Since then the young mum has been on an emotional rollercoaster and says this time last year she was a ‘completely different person’.

‘I needed the toilet more and more frequently to the point where I started having accidents – which was very embarrassing – then had severe intense pain,’ she said.

‘I was extremely unwell; It prompted me to go see a doctor because I couldn’t eat or drink anything either.’

Because of the pain her mum took her to the closest local GP who unfortunately dismissed her symptoms.

‘The doctor told me to take gastro tablets, but mum advocated for testing,’ Sophie said and completed a stool sample.

Surprisingly blood tests didn’t detect anything sinister.

When she was able to get in touch with her regular doctor who reviewed the tests, ‘microscopic’ amounts of blood were detected in the stools.

Sophie then met with a gastric entomologist for a CT scan that ‘detected something’ but at the time specialists couldn’t determine what it was.

‘It all happened so quickly; it took 10 days from first going to the doctor to being diagnosed,’ she said.

On June 14, 2022, a colonoscopy found the 7cm tumour and confirmed it was cancerous.

‘When you hear the word “cancer” you automatically think you’re going to die. You have no idea what path is going to show up before you,’ she said.

‘I felt completely numb and overwhelmed, and immediately I thought of my seven-year-old son Jaxon.

‘Mum was beside me completely shell shocked and wished it was her going through this and not me.’

It was also ‘torturous’ waiting to confirm if it had spread elsewhere – which it hadn’t.

'She was questioning what was wrong with me, and it just made me feel so awful' Sophie tells Adelaide Now. 'She made me feel so small, like I wasn't a human being' she added. 'So I just left. I got into an Uber and sat in my own filth on the way home, just sobbing'

She dived straight into radiation treatments which were ‘intense’.

‘You don’t feel the effects until you’ve finished and I was taking chemotherapy tablets morning and night too,’ Sophie said.

After 25 rounds of radiotherapy it felt as if ‘acid had been tipped into her abdominal’ and was left in ‘so much pain’.

‘The after effects were awful and horrific, but it had to be done,’ she said.

During a three-week break from treatment Sophie was hospitalised for five days after experiencing ‘severe, unbearable pain’ from her body processing the stress of the treatment.

For this type of cancer Sophie didn’t need surgery.

She said she is also extremely grateful for the wonderful doctors we have in Australia, and estimates Medicare has covered roughly $40,000 in medical fees.

‘I’ve paid around $8,000 out of pocket and wouldn’t have been able to afford the whole medical bill if it wasn’t covered by Medicare,’ she said.

Wayne Rooney’s been belting out Ed Sheeran at karaoke, crashing the local pub quiz and living off takeaways as he enjoys ‘bachelor’ lifestyle in Plymouth – leaving wife Coleen ‘concerned’

Wayne Rooney is throwing himself into his new life in Plymouth.

The football star turned manager, 38, has had a tough start in the Devon city, with The Pilgrims sitting 18th in the Championship table with just two wins so far this season.

And photos of Wayne sat in the stands at Old Trafford last weekend has worried some of his fans, who remarked on his appearance and weight.

But the Manchester United and England legend’s ‘lonely bachelor lifestyle’ hundreds of miles from home has also reportedly been causing concern to those close to him, including his wife Coleen.

Father-of-four Rooney, whose team is playing Blackburn Rovers at Home Park today, is said to have been living a booze and takeaway-fuelled lifestyle since taking over as manager of Championship side Plymouth this summer.

And when he’s not in his flat planning for the next match or unwinding on his games console, he is known to go for a walk with friends and pop into one of his local drinking establishments.

One customer in a bar close to Wayne’s rented home in the city told MailOnline today that ‘he comes in quite often for a few drinks’, adding: ‘He’s definitely put on some weight since he’s been down here, maybe he’s getting stuck into the pasties.’

Wayne Rooney pictured watching his old club lose to Tottenham last Sunday – the former England and Manchester United striker’s appearance left some fans concerned

Isolated from his roots in Merseyside and after making a slow start to the high-pressure job, Rooney has been regularly spotted enjoying nights out in the city’s bars and nightclubs including quiz nights and karaoke nights belting out his favourite Ed Sheeran hits including Shape of You.

And while he is served healthy lunches at work, he is said to spend many evenings alone eating fast food, drinking and playing video games.

One source said recently: ‘Coleen’s told him no more takeaways, so she’s sorting out meal plans as well as making sure he’s busy when he’s not at work’.

After signing a three-year contract with the club, Rooney made the move 260 miles from his family home in Cheshire to a rented seaside flat in the Devon city.

When the move was first announced Wayne, Coleen and their kids Kai, 14, Klay. 10, Kit, eight, and Cass, five had been rumoured to be house hunting in the South West and particularly Salcombe, Britain’s most expensive seaside town nicknamed Chelsea-on-Sea, which is just under an hour’s drive from his new job.

But he and Coleen, also 38, ultimately decided moving the family to Devon would be too disruptive to the kids’ education and eldest son Kai’s promising football career in the Man Utd academy.

In a recent interview, Coleen said: ‘We thought long and hard about it (moving to Devon) but with the kids it didn’t work.

‘Kai’s now in year 10 and just starting GCSE prep and everything’s going well with football, and the other boys are all settled at school, so it didn’t seem fair on the children to pick them up and take them away, and start in a whole new place.’

Instead, Wayne cut short his BBC punditry role at the Euros in Germany and just days after returning home he moved alone to Devon to begin pre-season training on July 3.

Since then, Rooney is believed to be living in an upmarket apartment in the city’s luxurious Royal William Yard development.

Neighbours declined to comment when approached by MailOnline this week.

While a loft-style waterfront flat there is luxurious and comfortable, it is a far cry from Rooney’s £20 million six-bedroom Cheshire mansion which boasts a snooker room, a home cinema, indoor swimming pool, an underground spa, wine cellar, a stable area with space for 14 horses and a football pitch.

Another flat in the development is currently listed for almost £5,000 per month.

The family-loving star appears to be struggling to adapt to life away from Coleen, his partner since secondary school, and their children.

Alone in the flat much of the time, has been spotted out drinking regularly in Plymouth including joining pub quiz nights at the Seco Lounge, a cafe-bar a few minutes walk from his flat, as well as several other nearby bars.

One customer told MailOnline this week: ‘I last saw him a few weeks back but I think he comes in quite often for a few drinks. I heard he’s come in for the quiz before too but I’m not sure how well he did.

‘Judging by the number of selfies posted on Facebook groups he’s going out to bars a lot’.

In August, Rooney was spotted belting out Ed Sheeran tunes on a late-night karaoke event at the Cider Press bar in the city’s Barbican area.

Video posted on social media shows Rooney urging the crowd to ‘make some f***ing noise, baby’.

Jarrod Styles, assistant manager, said: ‘He was definitely a better footballer than he is a singer.

‘He was an ideal customer, he was just chatting to people then he got up and sang Shape of You. He was working the crowd telling everybody to join in.’

The nearby Rakuda Bar also shared photos of two different visits from Rooney on Facebook, describing him as ‘Rakuda’s new regular’

Even before the latest pictures emerged, Wayne’s unhealthy lifestyle was causing concern back at home, during a visit with the kids early last month, Coleen is said to have been so shocked by her husband’s lifestyle she banned him from eating any more takeaways.

A source told Heat magazine: ‘Coleen got a bit of a shock when she saw Wayne recently. She’s worried he’s not taking enough care of himself now that he’s living on his own.

‘It was always going to be a big adjustment for him when he gave up playing football professionally. He was at the peak of his fitness during that time – Coleen made sure he ate healthily and he was always running about and playing footie with the boys. Now, she feels he’s not putting himself first, and worries that he’s struggling to cope without her looking after him.

‘She knows what Wayne can be like when he’s away – although the club has staff making the team healthy food for lunch, Wayne will be at home by himself in the evenings.

‘He’s not the best cook, so he’ll always take the easy option’.

Revealing that Coleen has already put plans in place to get her husband’s fitness back on track, the source added: ‘She’s decided to put him on a bit of health and fitness kick ahead of his 39th birthday next month, as she wants him to look and feel his best when they go away for a few days to celebrate.’

Representatives for Wayne and Coleen were contacted for comment.

Following a disastrous three-month spell managing Birmingham last season, Rooney endured a tough start to life in the South West where he failed to win any of Argyle’s first five league games. Recent wins against Sunderland and Luton have boosted morale, however.

Rooney is also known to be an avid gamer, playing hours of Fifa online to relieve stress. Before taking over at Plymouth, Rooney spoke about passing the time gaming with a team of YouTubers named Girth N Turf,

He told former teammate Gary Neville: ‘I know the rapper Aitch and they have got this team. I’d nothing else to do so I joined the team, it’s hilarious.’

The photo of Rooney watching United lose 3-0 to Tottenham while clad in a black coat was shared by Sky Sports on X and several users were quick to urge him to take care of himself.

‘He looks really bad’, one account posted in response.

‘Hang in there, Wayne,’ another said, perhaps in a tongue-in-cheek fashion.

‘Rooney looks older than his age,’ a third added. ‘He needs to take care of himself.’

A fourth account wrote ‘He looks too old’, accompanied by a crying emoji.

‘Is he suffocating, he’s all red?’ a fifth asked. ‘Asking out of concern.’

Rooney confessed in 2022 that he only had one suit that still fit him after being ribbed over his appearance by Jamie Carragher on Sky’s Monday Night Football.

Carragher noticed Rooney was wearing the same suit, shirt and tie combination from his Premier League Hall of Fame induction a fortnight before the show.

Rooney responded: ‘Do you know what? There’s a reason behind that.

‘Obviously, over the last year, I’ve put a little bit of weight on. So it’s actually the only suit what’ll fit me at the minute – I’ve got to get the most out of it.’

Rooney has previously opened up on his fight to avoid piling on the pounds during his trophy-laden playing career, writing in his 2012 book My Decade In The Premier League: ‘I’m like most blokes, I put on a few pounds after a holiday.

‘Even if I don’t train for a week, I put on two or three.’

Who Is Mike Weir’s Wife? Meet ‘The Bachelor’ Michelle Money Fame & Explore Her Lifestyle, Career & More

Being a captain, and that too of the International team, is not a small thing. For it comes with its own pressures and tensions. All of that, however, takes a backseat when it is time to lead the squad, especially at a big event such as the Presidents Cup. But, as Mike Weir takes care of his team, who is there to support him? Cue his wife, Michelle Money of ‘The Bachelor’ fame.

The two met by chance back in 2016, following which they started to date. Fast forward seven years to 2023, and the two announced their engagement to the world when the golfer was 53 years old and Money was 43. Interestingly, the athlete had proposed to the star in January of that year when the two of them had gone on a trip to New Zealand.

“We took a helicopter to the top of a glacier where the most incredible glacier lake was,” recounted Michelle Money in an interview with People, “He got down on a knee and asked me to marry him there on the glacier. It was incredible.” And heartwarmingly enough, the couple then tied the knot just 10 months later in November 2023.

Coming back to Mike Weir’s wife, she is popularly known for being a contestant in the 15th season of the hit show, ‘The Bachelor’, back in 2011. It was then that she dated Brad Womack before parting ways with him later on. Soon after, the star also made her appearances on the second season of  ‘Bachelor Pad’ and the first season of ‘Bachelor in Paradise’.

Interestingly enough, the relationship she currently has with Weir is not her first. For she was formerly married to Ryan Money from Salt Lake City, with whom she shares a daughter named Brielle. The couple, however, separated soon after following which she connected with Cody Sattler during the first season of ‘Bachelor in Paradise’. The two couldn’t manage to make their relationship work, causing it to end in 2016.

How did Mike Weir meet Michelle Money?

“I was walking into a restaurant with my daughter, and he happened to be walking out with a group of friends,” divulged Money. “I didn’t see him, but apparently he saw me and asked his friends if any of them knew me.” What happened then? Well, the Canadian athlete, after reaching his friend’s house, left it soon after to drive back to the restaurant in a bid to find her. Unfortunately, she had already left.

But luck was with the current Presidents Cup International team’s skipper. His friends happened to know a mutual friend who gave him Money’s number. “We went on our first date and never looked back,” recalled the star from ‘The Bachelor’. Soon after, she revealed her relationship status in an interview with Us Weekly in 2016. “Cody and I are not together. I am in a new relationship with a wonderful man and am extremely happy!” It has been 8 years since then. And those years were filled with them being there for each other, be it on or off the course.

The couple were spotted alongside each other with the wife’s daughter, Brielle, carrying the bags for the professional golfer at the par-3 contest ahead of the 2024 Masters at Augusta National. “What an amazing week at @themasters,” wrote the star on her Instagram post, “So fun watching @briellemoney caddy for @mweirsy in the Par 3 tournament! She even hit a ball on 9!”

That’s not all. She even went ahead to express her gratitude for the amount of support that everyone showcased for their family. “Special thank you to all our friends and family who help make this week absolutely unforgettable,” added Mike Weir’s wife. “And extra proud of my husband @mweirsy who never stops working on his game. He is the ultimate example of perseverance, commitment and hard work!”
