Watch: Viral Video Of Saag Preparation In Pakistan Draws Internets Attention

Saag is one of the most beloved dishes, especially enjoyed during winters in India. If you’ve grown up in a North Indian household, you’ll know how important it is. When paired with fresh makki ki rotis, nothing can beat this classic combination. Interestingly, the love for saag is not limited to India but extends to our neighboring country, Pakistan. Recently, we came across a video on Instagram showcasing the traditional preparation of this dish in a village in Faisalabad, Pakistan. The video highlights the meticulous process of making saag from scratch. After watching it, you’ll surely be craving some too!
The video was shared by the Instagram page @mrzezothefoodie. The clip begins with the digital creator explaining that the man who has the saag prepared is named Chaudhary Saleem, and he gives a large amount of saag to his friends every year. The process begins with cutting the sargon and bringing it to the house. It is then cleaned and cut using machines. After this, it is thoroughly washed and transferred to a large cooking pot. The saag is slow-cooked for 9 hours, after which its water is removed to reduce the bitterness. Fresh water is then added along with salt and green chili paste, and it is cooked for another hour before being removed from heat. Next, makki ki atta is added, mixed well, and transferred to a degh (cauldron), where it is pureed with the help of a machine. The saag is now ready and packaged to be sent to his friends.
Like us, many internet users were captivated by the process of making saag. One person wrote, “Sending a friend request to Chaudhary Saab.” Another said, “Please add me to your list. Omg, I’m missing Lahore.” A third person commented, “Authentic way to make saag.” A fourth shared, “Love from India.” A fifth remarked, “Saleem Saab ka number dhoondo yaar (Find Saleem sir’s number, brother).” A sixth expressed, “I love Pakistani food, be my friend please.”

  • ‘Homeless People in LA Looking More Fresh Than’ Jake Paul: Presenting Monday Night Football on ESPN Draws Scathing Response From Boxing World

‘Homeless People in LA Looking More Fresh Than’ Jake Paul: Presenting Monday Night Football on ESPN Draws Scathing Response From Boxing World

The Denver Broncos secured a thrilling 41-32 victory over the Cleveland Browns on Monday, getting one step closer to their spot in the NFL playoffs. But before the game, Jake Paul stirred up buzz by announcing on social media that he would be presenting Monday Night Football on ESPN. Unsurprisingly, fans had plenty to say about Paul’s unexpected role.

Jake Paul is riding high after his unanimous decision victory over legendary boxer Mike Tyson last month in Texas, a bout that streamed live on Netflix. Since then, ‘The Problem Child’ has been dominating headlines, with a growing list of fighters challenging the Cleveland native to step into the ring. While speculation swirls about his next opponent, Paul’s recent involvement with Monday Night Football has sparked significant criticism from fans.

Turning to Instagram, Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions wrote, “Jake Paul presents Monday Night Football on ESPN…👀🏈,” while sharing a clip to promote the announcement. Meanwhile, on the field, the Denver Broncos pulled off a hard-fought win against the Cleveland Browns despite allowing an astonishing 497 passing yards from quarterback Jameis Winston.

The Broncos capitalized on game-changing plays, including pick-sixes by linebacker Nik Bonitto and nickel corner Ja’Quan McMillian. Rookie quarterback Bo Nix also delivered a standout moment with a jaw-dropping 93-yard touchdown pass to Marvin Mims Jr., securing Denver’s victory in a high-stakes matchup.

Regardless, fans wasted no time reacting to the Instagram post, flooding the comment section with a mix of excitement, skepticism, and criticism.

Fan hopes Jake Paul doesn’t start playing in the NFL

The announcement came as somewhat of a surprise, but the reactions from fans—not so much. One user outright insulted Paul. “You have homeless people in LA looking more fresh than this dude all that money and he cant take time to take care of himself,” the user wrote. Notably, Paul himself is a Cleveland native, but his support didn’t help his team secure the win.

The next user highlighted the obvious. “Cleveland lost too,” the user wrote. It’s worth noting that in 2022, Jake Paul signed a contract with Cleveland Browns, and joined the NFL franchise’s social media team.

Meanwhile, this user suggested people can hate him all they want, but the reality is he is doing big things. “Can hate em all u want he doin big things,” the user wrote. His fight and win over Mike Tyson is among those achievements.

Someone else gave a new nickname to ‘The Problem Child.’ “You mean Fake Paul,” the user wrote. Notably, there were allegations that the Tyson fight was staged, but there is no evidence to support these claims.

Another user put forth their concerns with Paul’s involvement with the NFL. “I hope he’s not planning to play football,” the user wrote. However, with the kind of fame Paul has gathered in boxing, it’s unlikely he would want to move to a different sport.

That said, it appears despite Jake Paul getting involved with MNF, fans didn’t quite like the update. However, the bigger question is, what did you think about it? Did you watch the game?

  • Red River Rivalry Draws Big College Football Betting Action For 2024 SEC Showdown Texas-Oklahoma

Red River Rivalry Draws Big College Football Betting Action For 2024 SEC Showdown Texas-Oklahoma

The big games in college football are becoming more meaningful as the 2024 season continues through October. Week 7 features four big Top 25 matchups including the annualy Red River Rivalry in Dallas between the No. 1 Texas Longhorns and No. 18 Oklahoma Sooners. Both teams are rested and ready off a bye week, and this SEC ‘Showdown’ is attracting big watch and wager action.

That’s despite sports fans and bettors in Texas and Oklahoma being unable to place wagers inside their state borders at U.S. Sportsbooks. But other options are available for those fans of their favorite college football teams or any NCAA games. Leading offshore betting sites like BetOnline in Panama and affiliate site SportsBetting.ag continue to take bets from sports fans in Texas, Oklahoma and also hugely populated California and Florida.

But just as wagering on this year’s polarizing political cycle and U.S. Presidential race has become most popular among Americans, so too is watching and wagering on the annual Red River Showdown. This year’s 120th edition of the Red River Rivalry has greater influence on the new 12-team playoff and SEC football standings with the Texas Longhorns curently ranked No. 1 in the nation.

“No matter what the state of either program is, the Red River Rivalry always attracts a very healthy handle from not just the die-hard fans and bettors in Texas and Oklahoma, but around the entire country,” SportsBetting.ag sportsbook manager said in an email. “It’s the third-most bet matchup at this point in Week 7.”

That’s behind the Big Ten battle in Eugene between No. 2 Ohio State and No. 3 Oregon.

    • No. 1 Texas (-14.5) vs. No. 18 Oklahoma (in Dallas, Texas) | 3:30 p.m. | ABC/ESPN+

College football odds from BetOnline and affiliate SportsBetting.ag refresh periodically and are subject to change, including on props and live betting. All times Eastern and betting favorites (-) listed.

    Sports Betting Wagering Terms

BetOnline is also offering Texas -14 (-128 odds) looking for more wagering action on the Longhorns. That’s partly because BetOnline is reporting that the Oklahoma Sooners have taken the second most number of bets behind Ohio State (-3) in Saturday’s college football games. By kickoff on game day, the amount of money wagered on the Longhorns-Sooners contest should be among the most bet games this season, along with Ohio State-Oregon.

“We opened this line way back in May at Texas -9. Of course, the Longhorns have exceed expectations while the Sooners have been about status quo, so the number has moved in the favorite’s direction,” BetOnline affiliate SportsBetting.ag adds.

The Longhorns are in top 5 in the country in yards per play, yards per game and points per game margins. Texas features one of the best offensive lines in college football in front or returing QB Quinn Ewers (oblique injury Sept. 14). But Oklahoma counters with a defense that has registered 19 sacks (No. 5 in country) led by edge rusher R Mason Thomas (5.5).

Texas is the largest betting favorite (-14.5) in this series since 2005, which was the last time the Longhorns won the National Title (Vince Young was QB and Rose Bowl MVP and current North Carolina coach Mack Brown was Longhorns head coach). But 9 of the last 11 Longhorns-Sooners football games have been decided by 8 pts or less. Oklahoma has won four of the last five meetings including last season 34-30 as a 5-point underdog when the Sooners entered No. 12 and Texas ranked No. 3 in the country.

Sooners freshman QB Michael Hawkins Jr. is a Dallas native and plays in his fourth game while making his second start. He’s a duel-threat speedster, but will be without a number of OU leading receivers on the injured list. Hawkins will become the first Oklahoma quarterback to start the Red River Showdown as a true freshman. He’ll need time to pass and escapability with Longhorns fellow freshman edge rusher Colin Simmons leading Texas with 6 tackles for loss and 4 sacks. His 90.2 Pro Football Focus pass rushing grade ranks seventh nationally among all edge rushers who’ve played at least 20% of their team’s snaps.

Simmons plays alongside senior DT Vernon Broughton, PFF’s highest graded defensive tackle (87.7). The Texas Longhorns secondary rates No. 1 in the country by PFF, as they lead the nation in coverage grade and have only surrendered a 57.7 passer rating, the third-lowest in America.

Texas has a huge game next Saturday in Austin against the Georgia Bulldogs. But first things first, and the Longhorns will win and avoid any upset by the Sooners. The lean is still Oklahoma’s way if betting the spread, but a better play is under the game total of 49 points.

    You can bet on it.

“Be Kind”: Sonu Sood Supports Swiggy Agent Who Stole Shoes, Draws Criticism

Sonu Sood, who is known for his humanitarian activities, recently found himself amidst criticism after extending support to the Swiggy delivery agent who was caught on camera stealing shoes. Let us explain it from the beginning. A video, captured on April 9, 2024, went viral on the internet where a Swiggy Instamart delivery agent was seen stealing a pair of black-coloured shoes from outside a flat in Gurugram. The video was posted on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) by a user named Rohit Arora, who claimed that the shoes belonged to his friend. “Swiggy’s drop and PICK up service. A delivery boy just took my friend’s shoes (@Nike) and they won’t even share his contact,” he wrote.

Since being posted, the video amassed more than 721,000 views and hundreds of comments. It even caught Swiggy‘s attention, who promptly replied, “We expect better from our delivery partners. Do meet us on DM, so we can assist you better”.

Recently, actor Sonu Sood brought the incident back under the spotlight when he took to his social media handle to extend support to the delivery agent. He wrote, “Don’t take any action against him. In fact, buy him a new pair of shoes. He might be really in need. Be kind.”

It seems Sonu Sood’s post didn’t go well with the internet users. More than three thousand people commented on his post, with most criticizing his idea of support by “encouraging stealing”.

A person wrote, “Asking for no action is still okay, but don’t justify it by giving nonsensical arguments. Poverty/Need is no justification for stealing. There are millions of people, poorer than this delivery guy, who work hard and earn their livelihood. They don’t steal. Justifying stealing is an insult to their hustle.”

Another comment read, “Absolutely…have seen poorest of poor not taking money dropped on the road…forget stealing…and this is a crime…shoes are not medicine or food which is essential and can’t be ignored… reprimand him and let him go but don’t justify…”

A third comment read, “Stealing is a habit. It’s not about the poor. We also didn’t have good shoes but never stole.”

A person sarcastically wrote, “If Swiggy’s delivery boy attacked and stole some money while delivering food at someone’s house. Don’t take any action against him. In fact, ask him to wait and bring some more money that is hidden inside. He might be really in need. Be kind just like Rahulhood Sonu Sood.”

A user commented, “Trust me delivery boys are not as vulnerable as we think. And even if they are, vulnerability can’t justify the stealing in any case.”
