During his playing days for the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he claimed to have not spent any cash made from a NFL contracts, instead living purely off his lucrative business ventures and endorsements.

He has his own annual music festival, fitness brand, has sold NFT cards for $1.2million and even released a signature Gronk drink in partnership with Monster Energy.

The 35-year-old has also had cameos in films, the WWE and in adverts for household brands like Visa and Nike.

Gronk’s net worth is estimated at $45million.

But as he is no longer in his element at tight end, his new favorite position is behind the wheel of luxury vehicles.

Gronkowski boasts an impressive garage from 4x4s to sports cars.

One of his pride possessions is a customised Mercedes-Benz S63 that has 603-horsepower and a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8.

They are valued at $185,000 – but that is nothing compared to the predicted $253,000 he splashed on an Audi R8.

Last year, he gave his supporters a chance to win two free Corvettes if they bought a ticket in a raffle, with funds raised going to charity.

The giveaway featured a then brand new 2023 Corvette Stingray and a classic 1974 version of the car.

Despite spending close to $1million on motors over the years, Gronkowski is not short of money.

In fact, he forgot he had $600,000 worth of Apple stock.

The NFL legend was at the Patriots when he phoned a contractor to build a mansion in Massachusetts in 2014.

Gronk explained to the Fortune: “Every time I saw him, when we were building the house, he kept saying, ‘Get Apple. Get Apple’.

“I [had] never been involved in stocks. I really didn’t know how stocks work. So I was like, ‘Alright, let me do this, man.’

“I call up my financial advisor. I’m like, ‘Put $69,000 in Apple.’

He did not check on the investment for two years, having forgotten all about it.

But after getting a nudge to check his wealth, Gronk revealed: “Now to this day, I have over $600,000 in Apple stock.

“All because of the investment I made in 2014 having no idea what I was doing, but just listening to the guy that built my house here in New England.

“Let me tell you, it’s the best investment I’ve ever had in my life.”

When Gronkowski bought Apple stock in 2014, shares were trading at $24.58.

A decade later, those same shares are worth $243.07.

These days, Gronk keeps busy by appearing on NFL Sundays on Fox Sports.

But even then he does not take the easy route, jumping out of a helicopter and into the ocean to mark Veteran’s Day weekend.

Crusading American lawyer who boasts a lavish lifestyle with private jet jaunts with his glamorous wife, a sprawling estate and pool chill sessions quits his law firm after putting Aussie corporates on notice

A high-flying international lawyer whose firm ‘put Australian corporations on notice’ about a potential wave of class action lawsuits against miners and financial services companies has suddenly quit his post.

International class action specialists Pogust Goodhead set up shop in Australia last year and issued a warning that they were eyeing a series of business giants and planning to hold them to account over their responsibility to exhibit ‘basic decency and fairness’.

But the firm was this week hit with the surprise departure of jetsetting co-founder and global chairman Harris Pogust, who announced he was stepping down from his role after six years in order to ‘devote more time and energy to my philanthropic endeavours’.

In a statement this week, Mr Pogust wished his co-founder Mr Goodhead all the best and praised the firm for having ‘helped defend the rights of those who cannot defend themselves against the misdeeds of big business’.

Pogust Goodhead is currently taking action against BHP in the UK over the Samarco mine disaster in Brazil, which cost 19 people their lives and contaminated waterways and land spanning multiple villages in a case tipped to be worth up to $70billion in damages.

Last month, the class action specialist firm also shed up to 20 per cent of its staff – with jobs shed at its offices in both the UK and Brazil, the UK’s Law Society Gazette reported.

The New Jersey-born Mr Pogust has more than 25 years’ experience in litigation and class actions. Daily Mail Australia revealed an insight into Mr Pogust’s lavish lifestyle earlier this year.

Co-founder Tom Goodhead visited Australia twice in 2023 to meet with MPs, unions and super funds over potential litigation. The firm set up an office in Sydney, headed by commercial disputes specialist Amie Crichton.

Ms Crichton cut her teeth on the other side of litigation, defending class actions on behalf of insurers for eight years. Speaking to law.com, she said that experience gives her a strategic advantage in prosecuting future class actions.

She said it had given her a much deeper understanding of how corporations seek to defend such matters – and how to counter that.

‘We are investigating a number of new cases against Australian multinational corporations, such as BHP, in which their commitment to this responsibility has been seriously thrown into question,’ said Mr Goodhead.

‘With the launch of our Sydney office, we are putting Australian corporations on notice that we are ready to hold them to account.

‘We are establishing a base in BHP’s backyard to ensure we explore every avenue in our fight for justice for victims.’

New Jersey-born Harris Pogust offers the greatest insight into their high-flying lives

The legal eagles said areas they’re targeting include the mining and resources sector, human rights issues, corporate misconduct, environmental issues and consumer law.

‘Specialists in the class action sector are becoming a little bit more creative and willing to attempt to find recourse through different channels,’ she said.

Mr Goodhead, who is both Oxford and Cambridge educated, spoke in February about the expansion and their current litigation portfolio.

He said winning one or more of the major litigations would see his team become ‘the highest-paid lawyers in the country by quiet some margin’.

And several months earlier in an interview with the Law Gazette in November 2023, Mr Goodhead spoke openly about his company’s capitalist ambitions.

‘We are here to make a profit,’ he said bluntly.

‘This isn’t an NGO though I know we look like one. We are here to make a profit… I’ve got trainee solicitors earning 150k.’

Asma Ali swindled the cash in her role as a solicitor for the Scottish Police Muslim Association (SPMA) between March 1, 2017 and June 30, 2019.

The 47-year-old – who was appointed SPMA chair in December 2016 – received her ill gotten gains from a number of locations in Scotland and England, including the organisation’s base at Glasgow’s Maryhill Police Station.

The SPMA is a body who provide information, support and training to police officers in relation to Islam.

Founding member Ali carried out her cross Border operation at a bank in London and an office in Edinburgh.

She used some of the money to fund her ‘lavish lifestyle’ which included a holiday to the UK capital with a shopping trip to Harrods.

Her previous roles included the branch co-ordinator for the Islamic Society of Britain and she also led Islam Awareness Week Scotland.

The ex-Police Scotland lawyer was also part of Mosaic Scotland which was associated with the Princes Trust.

‘You may have been living outwith your means and this was due in part to the lavish lifestyle which you engaged in.

‘There were trips to London and a shopping trip to Harrods.

‘While I cannot underestimate the impact this offence had on others, you are an intelligent person and an accomplished individual.

‘It is regrettable that you lost your role as a lawyer and that your difficulties were not resolved in a legitimate way.

‘You stood to lose very much and you’ve now done so.

‘I have considered the difficulties in the years leading up to and after the offence and the remorse you demonstrated is genuine.

‘I am pleased to note that you have managed in the face of real adversity to turn your life around.

‘I am satisfied that there is an alternative to custody which is a direct alternative to custody.’

Euan Dow, defending, told the sentencing that the stolen cash – which had not been paid back – will be returned to the Association by her new employers.

Two charges of attempting to obtain £2,000 and 1,000 by fraud as well as a £500 fraud charge had not guilty pleas accepted by the Crown.

The court heard that the SPMA began to receive funding in the region of £20,000 in 2010.

Ali – in her role as secretary in 2016 – proposed a change in procedure about how expenses cheques were issued.

She asked that the process change to a single signature instead of also having a counter signatory.

The then treasurer signed this off despite reservations about maintaining transparency.

Ali later received the banking details, after which the treasurer resigned in 2018 due to concerns about how the association was being run.

From the end of 2017 until June 2019, members raised concerns about the SPMA finances and its management.

Prosecutor Lauren Sangray said: “Discussions were had between members regarding payments being made from the SPMA directly to Ali without receipts or vouching.”

Ali was asked to produce bank statements and there appeared to be a high volume of payments made to her without full vouching.

Ali formally stood down as the chairperson in August 2019.

An investigation from the Special Investigations Team at the Professional Standards Department found that Ali “was in significant debt.”

Ms Sangray said: “From the information seized, it was identified that there were a significant number of transactions between the SPMA business account and Ali’s personal Bank of Scotland Account.”

The fiscal depute added that there were “various trips including to London inclusive of flights, train fare, hotel stays, Uber journeys and a shopping trip to Harrods.”

Further cash withdrawals were made from Ali’s account, which were reimbursed through the SPMA without receipts or vouching.

Ms Sangray said: “From analysing Ali’s bank account it was clear that she was living out with her means, she was paying significant debts and often falling in to her overdraft.”

Euan Dow, defending, told the sentencing that the stolen cash – which had not been paid back – will be returned to the Association by her new employers through her salary.

Two charges of attempting to obtain £2,000 and £1,000 by fraud as well as a £500 fraud charge had not guilty pleas accepted by the Crown.

Fraser Gibson, procurator fiscal for Glasgow and Strathkelvin, said: “Asma Ali flagrantly abused the trust placed in her by the members of the Scottish Muslim Police Association (SPMA) to look after their interests.

“Instead, she used her position to embezzle funds that should have been set aside to help the association and used that money for her personal use.

“This case demonstrates that those who seek to exploit others for their own personal gain will be held to account for their crimes.

“We will always prosecute in such cases when it is in the public interest and where there is evidence to do so.”
