  • Inside Govinda’s lavish lifestyle, income, Rs 16 crore house, cars and more

Inside Govinda’s lavish lifestyle, income, Rs 16 crore house, cars and more

Govinda is a popular Bollywood actor known for entertaining fans with blockbuster hits like Hero No. 1, Coolie No. 1, Partner, Raja Babu, Haseena Maan Jaayegi and more. His amazing dance moves, comedy, and unique acting style made him a favourite in the 80s and 90s. Let’s look at his impressive career, net worth, luxurious homes, cars, and recent news.

    Govinda’s Net Worth and Income

Although Govinda has not been active in major films recently, his net worth is still impressive at over Rs 170 crore, according to News 18. His income comes from his long-standing acting career, real estate investments, and brand endorsements. His smart financial decisions over the years have helped him maintain his wealth.

    Govinda’s Luxurious Homes

Govinda owns several beautiful houses, the most notable being his Rs 16 crore bungalow named Jai Darshan in Juhu, Mumbai reported in Koi Moi. This luxurious property reflects his style and taste. In addition, he has other properties like a bungalow in Ruia Park and a house in Mud Island. The Mud Island property, bought for Rs 1 crore, is often used for film shoots, while the Ruia Park bungalow is on lease and generates good rental income for the actor. Besides these, Govinda also owns a bungalow in Kolkata, 90,000 square feet of farmland in Lucknow, and a farmhouse in Raigad, which he uses as a vacation home.

    Govinda’s Stylish Car Collection

Govinda’s love for cars is evident in his impressive collection. He owns a Hyundai Creta worth Rs 15 lakh, a Toyota Fortuner valued at Rs 34 lakh, and a Ford Endeavor priced at Rs 36 lakh. According to Koi Moi, he also owns luxury cars like a Mercedes C220D, which costs Rs 43 lakh, and a Mercedes Benz GLC worth Rs 64 lakh. His cars reflect both style and comfort.

Govinda’s Journey In Bollywood: From Success to Challenges

Govinda’s acting career began in the 80s when he starred in his first hit movie Love 86. This was just the start of his success, as he went on to give back-to-back hits like Raja Babu and Coolie No. 1. In the 90s, he became one of Bollywood’s biggest stars with comedy films like Deewana Mastana, Dulhe Raja, and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, which were all massive hits.

However, after 2007, Govinda’s career faced difficulties. His last major hit was Partner, and after that, he struggled to deliver another successful film. Even though he appeared in 13 films after Partner, none of them worked at the box office. Movies like Rangeela Raja, Aa Gaya Hero, and Friday didn’t do well, but despite this, Govinda has maintained a strong financial position. Today, his net worth is estimated to be around Rs 150 crore. He continues to make money from endorsements, charging Rs 5-6 crore per film and earning around Rs 2 crore from ads.

Recent News: Govinda Accidentally Shot Himself

Recently, Govinda was in the news after accidentally shooting himself in the leg with his licensed revolver. The incident happened while he was getting ready for an early flight to Kolkata. The bullet hit his knee, and he was rushed to CRITICare Hospital in Mumbai. Thankfully, Govinda is out of danger, and doctors have successfully removed the bullet. The police are investigating the incident, and his revolver has been taken into custody.

  • Luke Bryan’s ‘Mind Of A Country Boy’ highlights lifestyle changes

Luke Bryan’s ‘Mind Of A Country Boy’ highlights lifestyle changes

    Rating: 6/10

On Sept. 27, country singer Luke Bryan released his newest album, “Mind Of A Country Boy.” The album featured 14 songs, including “Country On” which he released as a single in 2022, and “But I Got a Beer In My Hand,” which he also released as a single in 2023.

Overall, the themes in “Mind of a Country Boy” were quite a shift from those of his previous albums. Bryan is typically known for his up-tempo jams like “Country Girl (Shake It For Me),” “That’s My Kind of Night” and “Play It Again.” However, “Mind of a Country Boy” prominently features more tame themes of him as a father, husband and Christian.

On par with the more soft-natured themes, most tracks on the album were slow-tempo songs with a heavy emphasis on the story the lyrics conveyed. The themes of this album showed just how much Bryan has matured and changed as a person and singer since his release of albums like “Tailgates & Tanlines” and “Crash My Party.”

The only song that broke the pattern of slow-tempo tracks was the fifth song on the album, “But I Got a Beer In My Hand.” Its quick tempo, strong guitar instrumentation and lyrics about recently getting dumped were a shocking contrast to the songs before and after it. After listening to the entire album, this song feels out of place and should have remained a single.

The one song that came close to the energy that “But I Got a Beer In My Hand” has was “Country Song Came On.” While the background instrumentals were slow, the lyrics picked up for the chorus. This song was also the closest to Bryan’s older music and themes with lyrics like “Said I wasn’t gonna drink/ And then a country song came on, yeah.”

Another song that stood out in the album was “For The Kids.” For most of the album, Bryan sings about finding love with lyrics such as “I’ll do anything for ya’, baby, God knows” and “the key to your heart’s in her back pocket.” However, in “For The Kids” there is a startling divergence with lyrics like “We swore we’d never end up like this/ Married for the kids” that suggest an unhappy marriage.

What’s more, almost every song on the album had a copied and pasted slow guitar background with unnotable lyrics that blurred together.

The only track that gave listeners any hope of hearing similar music to Bryan’s older albums was the track “Mind Of A Country Boy.” The banjo and strong downbeat in the intro get listeners excited for a hard-hitting tune, but that drive quickly disappears once Bryan starts singing.

On top of the disappointing instrumentals, the lyrics were almost cringeworthy, hitting every single country music stereotype. Bryan strings together a list of things that are on the mind of a country boy with lyrics such as “Is the trickle charger hooked up to the boat?/ Is the pattern right on my turkey choke?/ Are them Appaloosa cats gonna bite?” which can be off-putting to anyone unfamiliar with these terms or lifestyle.

While as a whole the album highlights the lifestyle changes the singer has experienced, it felt lackluster and repetitive. The thematic changes from track to track give the listener whiplash and create a confusing and unpleasant experience when listening to the album as a whole.

Individual tracks were able to shine and showcase Bryan’s musicianship but overall, they were buried in the disappointing album.

  • SpaceMantra pulls out resolution plan for Future Lifestyle

SpaceMantra pulls out resolution plan for Future Lifestyle

Mumbai: SpaceMantra, the winning bidder to take over Kishore Biyani’s retail brand outlet Future Lifestyle Fashions (FLFL), has withdrawn its resolution plan for the company days before lenders overwhelmingly voted for it, putting creditors of the debt-laden company in a quandary.

SpaceMantra, promoted by former NBCC chairman Anoop Kumar Mittal, along with two individuals, Sandeep Gupta and Shalini Gupta, had emerged as the sole bidder for FLFL after almost an 18-month process since the company was admitted to bankruptcy in May 2023.

The retailer of construction, building material and office furniture had placed a ₹490 crore bid to beat the early interest shown by Donear Industries among others.

The company was supposed to pay ₹490 crore within 90 days of the NCLT approval according to its timeline submitted to lenders, working out to a 14% recovery for creditors. However, even as lenders put to vote its proposal earlier this month, the SpaceMantra-led consortium changed its mind. In a letter to the resolution professional (RP) Ravi Sethia on September 25, the consortium said it was no longer interested in continuing its resolution plan.

“On account of the inordinate delay leading to erosion of the value of inventory and other assets of the corporate debtor and the changed circumstances in the intervening period, we are hereby informing you that we are no longer interested in continuing with our resolution plan and we are hereby withdrawing the process,” the letter accessed by ET said.

This letter, which came just two days before the end of the voting period, was followed by a creditors’ meeting on September 26 in which voting was concluded and subsequently the SpaceMantra consortium was unanimously declared the winning bidder through a stock market disclosure on September 28.”It is imperative to note that the resolution plan submitted by the resolution applicant which was put to vote pursuant to the discussions of the 21st CoC meeting held on August 13 has been approved by the CoC with the requisite majority….Therefore you are required to comply with the terms and unconditionally accept the letter of intent issued to you by the undersigned on September 27,” RP Sethia said in an email response accessed by ET. Sethia did not reply to an email seeking comment.A senior SpaceMantra official confirmed that the company has withdrawn from its bid for FLFL because of the delays in the process. The company did not reply to an email seeking comment.

Creditors are now insisting that the company complete its obligation and fulfil the payments due. “It seems that SpaceMantra was backed by a large corporate group which has pulled out. SpaceMantra, on its own, could never be taken seriously, but since it was the only bidder, banks had no choice but to accept the bid. This turn of events highlighted the challenges banks face in recovery as bidders can never be trusted to fulfill their commitment,” said a person aware of the details.

Creditors are now looking at impounding the ₹2 crore earnest money deposited by the consortium, but admit they have very little recourse beyond that.

The latest updated claims show that FLFL, the owner of retail chains Central and Brand Factory, owes creditors including bondholders a total of ₹3,478 crore. State Bank of India (SBI) is the lead lender with claims of ₹477 crore. Bondholders represented by Catalyst Trusteeship and Centbank Financial Services are owed about ₹1,100 crore. SBI did not reply to an email seeking comment.

At its peak, FLFL used to operate more than 300 stores selling clothes, footwear and accessories of various third-party and in-house brands.

It satisfies the target consumers’ quest for self-identity markers and a sense of belonging, transcending conventional status symbols and instead embodying the essence of individuals, nurturing their evolving spiritual world and cultivating a deep, lasting emotional connection with brands.

Additionally, in the realm of wellness, health-conscious consumers across different age groups exhibit varying physical, experiential, and expressive desires in diverse usage scenarios. Lack of a healthy lifestyle a key factor for rising heart attacks among youngsters, say doctors

Incorporating more fruits and vegetables in one’s diet, good stress management, exercising, keeping sugar, blood pressure and cholesterol levels down are important to keep a heart healthy, said medical experts.

Speaking at an awareness camp organised by The Hindu FIC in association with Andhra Hospitals (AH), Vijayawada, on the occasion of World Heart Day on September 29, Sunday, at the Brain and Heart Institute, Chief Cardiologist at AH J. Srimannarayana said the primary reason why we are seeing increasing cases of heart attacks among youngsters was because of not following one or more of the above-mentioned points.

“One in every three persons in the world dies of heart attack. In India, the situation is worse, because Indians are genetically more prone to developing heart diseases. The recent lifestyle changes also play a big role,” Dr. Srimannarayana said, adding that if anyone develops chest pain, they should visit a doctor and get an ECG test done. However, ECG tests do not reveal the full picture, he said.

“Heart attack symptoms present differently in people. Chest pain is often confused with pain due to gas. People often delay visiting a doctor by taking medicines to relieve gas pains, and they get worried only when pain does not subside. By the time they reach the hospital, damage to heart muscles would have happened already,” he said, highlighting the importance of time in treating patients with heart attacks.

Dispelling misconceptions that children with heart diseases cannot have a normal life, Paediatric Cardiologist K. Vikram said 98% of heart problems are treatable. “Those with congenital or acquired heart disease can go to school, get married and have children like anyone else. But it is important to identify symptoms of heart disease in children immediately,” Dr. Vikram said. The symptoms can be panting while playing, struggling to gain weight or falling unconscious while running, frequent infections such as cold and fever, etc.

“There will be no scars after treatments,” added J. Nageswara Rao, Cardio-Thoracic Surgeon. He said with advancements in the medical field, we have minimally invasive surgeries.

Andhra Hospitals Group Director P. Ramarao and MD P.V. Ramana Murthy said that they have established 750 beds in six centres with 25 specialities and super specialities offering services like trauma, critical care, super speciality services, mother and child care. He added that the hospital has successfully completed 4,000 heart surgeries in children in the past nine years.

Later, the experts interacted with people and answered their queries. They said with regular walking (30 minutes daily), eating fruits every day, cutting down on alcohol, managing stress well and keeping a tab on calory intake, one can have a healthy life.
