A royal expert has said that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have different parenting styles to Prince William and Princess Kate.
The couple have two children, Archie Harrison, who arrived in 2019 and was later joined by a daughter, Lilibet Diana, in 2021.
Prince Harry is set to turn 40 this weekend, celebrating with family and friends before spending some time away with a group of close pals, according to reports.
Now, former BBC correspondent Jennie Bond has speculated about his approach to parenting in California.

Jennie told OK!: “Harry has always been quite sporty, and very competitive…I bet he gets the kids involved in all sorts of games and makes it incredibly fun, as well as teaching them skills like surfing or football.
“The warm weather and outdoor lifestyle in Montecito must make bringing up children a joy, so much easier to get them away from screens and TV, which Harry and Meghan clearly both feel very strongly about.
“I think he is relishing his role as a parent and playing the fullest part he can in the lives of his two tots….He’s lucky enough to be able to share most of their lives so I’m sure Harry is a devoted dad and no stranger to nappy changing or school runs.
“I think he finds the security and anchor in his little family that was sadly missing in his own broken childhood home.”

Jennie also speculated on the emotional turmoil brought about by Prince Harry’s parents’ messy separation and their very public take-downs of one another.
She said: “It’s hard to know exactly when the damage wrought by his parents’ broken marriage began to make its mark on Harry.
“He was only eight when Charles and Diana officially separated, but he had witnessed the marital difficulties long before that.
“I’m sure the insecurity of his own childhood has made him all the more determined to give his kids the perfect upbringing and to have them wrapped in a bubble of love and awareness of the love between their parents.”

Jennie also shared hope for the future for a potential reunion of Archie and Lilibet with their cousins, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
She said: “Imagine Archie, aged 15, telling his friends, ‘My grandpa is/was King! And my uncle is/will be King too.’ But he hardly knew or met them. How sad… and Meghan would have to bear the brunt of the responsibility for that.I’m sure that, like Harry, she wants the very best for their children… and that will include an understanding of their background.
“I just hope that by the time Archie and Lili grow up, things will be calmer and the family more united, even if they continue to live thousands of miles apart.
“This is not the children’s fault or responsibility so let’s hope the adults can make it a better world for the next generation of royals.”

Healthcare professionals are increasingly giving advice to patients on how to improve their health, but there is often a lack of scientific evidence if this advice is actually beneficial. This is according to a study from the University of Gothenburg, which also guides towards more effective recommendations.
The researchers do not criticize the content of the advice — it is good if people lose weight, stop smoking, eat a better diet or exercise more. However, there is no evidence that patients actually change their lifestyle after receiving this advice from healthcare professionals.
“There is often a lack of research showing that counseling patients is effective. It is likely that the advice rarely actually helps people,” says Minna Johansson, Associate Professor at Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg and General Practitioner at Herrestad’s Healthcare Center in Uddevalla, who is the study’s lead author.
Few pieces of advice are well-founded
The study, published in the Annals of Internal Medicine, was conducted by an international team of researchers. They have previously analyzed medical recommendations from the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) in the UK. This organization is behind 379 recommendations of advice and interventions that healthcare professionals should give to patients, with the aim of changing their lifestyle.
In only 3% of cases there were scientific studies showing that the advice has positive effects in practice. A further 13% of this advice had some evidence, but with low certainty. The researchers also reviewed additional guidelines from other influential institutions around the world and found that these often overestimate the positive impact of the advice and rarely take disadvantages into account.
“Trying to improve public health by giving lifestyle advice to one person at a time is both expensive and ineffective. Resources would probably be better spent on community-based interventions that make it easier for all of us to live healthy lives,” says Minna Johansson, who also believes the advice could increase stigmatization for people with e.g., obesity.
Showing the way forward
Today’s healthcare professionals would not be able to give all the advice recommended while maintaining other care. The researchers’ calculations show that in the UK, for example, five times as many nurses would need to be hired, compared to current levels, to cope with the task.
The study also presents a new guideline to help policy makers and guideline authors consider the pros and cons of the intervention in a structured way before deciding whether or not to recommend it. Victor Montori, Professor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in the United States is a co-author of the study: “The guideline consists of a number of key questions, which show how to adequately evaluate the likelihood that the lifestyle intervention will lead to positive effects or not,” says Victor Montori.

Get inspired during this episode with Shipt‘s VP of Economic and Social Impact Khadijah Abdullah. She joined the company in the newly created position a few years ago, ready to prove what she could accomplish in what many considered a “fluff” role.
“My approach essentially became to prove that in our business, we can do both good and well,” Khadijah explains. “That meant that my team and I spend our time regularly with our business partners understanding our business objectives and capabilities, social impact trends, HR insights, consumer insights and that’s how we set our strategy in a way that’s synergistic to our business.”
And thanks to Khadijah’s dedication, Shipt has indeed been intentional in terms of not just doing well as a business but doing good in its community.
One of the initiatives Khadijah is most proud is Shipt’s expansion of SNAP EBT to reduce food insecurity and boost access to nutritious foods. SNAP EBT access is just one of Shipt’s actions that are part of the all-important White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition and Health.
Another Shipt action is supporting nutrition research by partnering with the University of Michigan to explore the impact of home delivery of healthy foods for people with Type 2 diabetes.
As Khadijah explains, the research demonstrates that when you provide people accessibility to healthier resources, “they’re going to make smarter and healthier choices that are actually going to have longer outcomes for their lives.”
Shipt is also supporting the community in its own backyard. Khadijah talks about the recently announced investment of $1 million over the next five years to The Birmingham Promise to reduce barriers to funding for college. Part of this investment will go toward launching The Magic City Mentorship program, which is being developed to increase students’ job readiness by pairing them with Shipt team members.
“We recognize that it’s not enough to just provide funding,” says Khadijah. “We actually have to match it with mentorship.”
She points out that mentorship has “immensely” impacted her own career. “When I think about mentorship it’s not always just about what we give, but it’s also what we get back,” says Khadijah. “I think about the power of lifting folks up and not getting too busy because it’s easy to just move around and do your work and not recognize that someone’s done it for us – and it’s our responsibility to do it for others.”

A new study from the University of Eastern Finland (UEF) uncovers how early lifestyle changes can have long-lasting impacts. A diet and physical activity intervention in childhood and adolescence was found to profoundly influence metabolism even years later.
The Physical Activity and Nutrition in Children (PANIC) study is the first lifestyle intervention study using advanced liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) metabolomics technology to analyze molecular mechanisms underlying the health effects of lifestyle changes from childhood to adolescence. By analyzing blood samples, the researchers were able to identify changes in 80 metabolites. “These were metabolites linked to critical processes for the development of cardiometabolic diseases, such as lipid metabolism, inflammation, and gut health,” says Postdoctoral researcher Iman Zarei.

What makes the findings particularly important is that 17 of these metabolites remained altered even after eight years, although the most intensive part of the lifestyle intervention only lasted for the first two years. This suggests that an early intervention might not just have immediate benefits but also longer-lasting health effects. Some of the most notable changes were in fatty amides, molecules involved in a variety of physiological functions such as inflammation, weight control, eating behavior, sleep induction, pain and anxiety control, angiogenesis, arterial dilation and neuroprotection. Such changes may be linked to a lower risk of several chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.
“Our research provides compelling evidence that early and sustained lifestyle changes can have a profound impact on a child’s health trajectory,” says Professor Timo Lakka, the lead researcher of the study. He emphasizes the importance of starting healthy habits early, noting that these changes could prevent the onset of chronic diseases that often begin to develop in childhood or even over the fetal period.
The present study is one of the first to demonstrate how beneficial changes in diet and physical activity in childhood can affect the body’s metabolism even in the long term. The findings were published in the journal iScience.
The PANIC study is part of the Metabolic Diseases Research Community at UEF and is dedicated to investigating major cardiometabolic diseases. By leveraging genetics, genomics, translational research, and lifestyle interventions, the community aims to provide robust evidence on disease mechanisms and advance early diagnosis, prevention, and personalized treatment. The research community consists of 20 research groups, spanning basic research to patient care.

Andy Elliott, a trailblazer in automotive sales and a prominent sales trainer, has risen to industry stardom through resilience, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. With an estimated net worth of $5 million as of 2023, he has transformed himself from a car salesman to the founder of The Elliott Group, a leading sales training organization. His company has trained over 600,000 salespeople from 11,000 companies, cementing his reputation as a visionary in the industry. This article delves into Andy Elliott’s journey—from his humble beginnings to his record-breaking success, his training philosophy, and his influence on the modern sales landscape.
The Remarkable Journey of Andy Elliott: From Humble Beginnings to Sales Pioneer
Andy Elliott’s name is synonymous with success in the automotive sales industry, a field where he has not only broken records but also redefined the art of sales training. His journey is one of grit, determination, and entrepreneurial flair, leading him from modest beginnings to an impressive $5 million net worth in 2023.
Early Life and the Spark of Ambition Born and raised in a small American town, Elliott’s early years were marked by hard work and a fascination with human behavior, especially in the context of persuasion. Even as a child, he was drawn to the art of selling, participating in school fundraisers and community events to practice his skills. His education reflected this interest, with a focus on business and communication—skills that would later become the cornerstone of his sales empire.
First Forays into Sales Elliott’s first real taste of sales came in his teenage years, when he took on door-to-door sales jobs. Although these roles were challenging, they gave him a profound understanding of customer psychology and taught him resilience in the face of rejection. His ability to adapt and learn from every encounter laid the foundation for his future success in the automotive world.
Rising to the Top: Record-Breaking Success in Automotive Sales
Elliott’s entry into the automotive sales industry was a pivotal moment in his career. After joining a dealership, it became quickly apparent that he was not just another car salesman. His unique approach to sales, which focused on forging genuine connections with customers and utilizing innovative closing techniques, helped him stand out from the competition.
Breaking Records and Redefining Success It wasn’t long before Elliott began shattering records. He earned $74,500 in a single month, setting a national benchmark for car sales. However, his most extraordinary achievement came when he generated $715,000 in sales within a single year—an unprecedented feat in the automotive industry. These milestones made him a household name in sales circles and opened doors for larger ventures.
The Elliott Group: Building a Sales Training Empire
With his success in the automotive industry, Elliott saw an opportunity to share his strategies with a broader audience. In 2011, he founded The Elliott Group, a sales training company aimed at empowering professionals across industries with the tools and techniques that had made him successful.
