    LOOKING AHEAD

Christine hasn’t looked back since moving on from Kody.

She continues to appear on Sister Wives, documenting her new life with David in the upcoming season.

On August 13, she posted a photo alongside her new husband, smiling while resting her head on his shoulder.

She teased what’s to come on the new season of the TLC reality show, set to premiere on the network on September 15.

“Our new trailer is SPICY!! View it on @TLC we air on Sept 15. I think we need to do a watch party!! Who will be watching?” her caption read.

The trailer kicked off with Meri Brown revealing, “Kody and I are officially done.”

It then cuts to Christine discussing the early days of her relationship with David.

Christine is shown opening the door of her home to David standing on the front porch.

“I just had a date with this guy, David. We’ve already planned our second date. I’m just telling you that, straight up,” she revealed.

Elsewhere in the clip, Janelle Brown revealed that she, too, is leaving Kody.

He then questions, “What did I do to deserve this? What did I do wrong?”

Janelle reveals that she is trying to sell her portion of the property in Utah, but Kody is “not talking to me about it.”

He claims it’s “teenage drama,” while she reveals, “I think I’m gonna have to lawyer up.”

Christine introduces David to fans officially in the trailer, and also brings him to a family party with her former sister wives and family.

The trailer suggests that Kody’s relationship with Sister Wives Meri, Janelle, and even his remaining wife, Robyn Brown, are rocky at best.

Viewers will have to tune in to TLC on September 15 to see how things pan out.

  • Glamorous lawyer couple ‘stole millions from clients to fund their lavish lifestyle’

Glamorous lawyer couple ‘stole millions from clients to fund their lavish lifestyle’

A glamorous lawyer couple from Toronto have been accused of embezzling nearly $7million from their clients to fund their lavish lifestyle.

Nicholas Cartel and his wife Singa Bui, partners at the now defunct, Cartel & Bui, LLP, reportedly spent more than a million dollars on luxury wares from Hermes and Christian Dior, $2,190 a month on child care, and took out a $1.2 million mortgage for a posh home in affluent midtown Toronto.

In 2022, when money started to go missing from the firm’s trust account, a court-ordered forensic audit was conducted revealing a ‘misappropriation of funds,’ Law Society of Ontario reported.

Last month, the couple were found in contempt of court for failing to answer questions or hand over any financial records.

Cartel – whose wife managed the finances of their firm and various accounts, as well as their household – has repeatedly denied any involvement, while Bui said through a lawyer, ‘he isn’t at fault.’

However, Ontario Superior Court Justice William Chalmers called it ‘inconceivable’ that Cartel doesn’t know what happened to the money and ‘inconsistent with common sense’ that he wouldn’t have asked his wife about it, CBC reported.

    Nicholas Cartel

    Singa Bui

The couple was accused of embezzling $7million from their real estate clients

Bui was responsible for the real estate side of their practice while Cartel handled class actions and litigation.

At one point, when Cartel took out the million-dollar mortgage on his family’s home, he testified under oath that the loan was to pay for repairs in his home. He claimed that ‘massive pipes blew up spewing a street’s worth of sewage into the house.’

The forensic audit found that the money was deposited into the firm’s trust account, revealing that the couple was mixing business with their personal finances.

Last fall, Cartel & Bui had represented seven sellers, but never paid off its clients’ mortgages as they were  supposed to, according to lawsuits by the buyers.

Instead, the lawsuits alleged, the couple  took the buyers’ cash, paid out the home equity to the sellers and pocketed the rest, amounting to a staggering $3.3 million.

In what CBC described as ‘perhaps the worst alleged embezzlements,’ would-be homeowners sent more than $2million to the firm for the purchase of a Toronto home.

Most of the money went missing within days, the property purchase never closed and the buyers did not get their money back.

‘Although they must know what happened to the funds, they have refused to provide this information,’ a judge said in a ruling last month.

‘Instead of attempting to comply with the orders to the best of their ability, I find that the defendants have taken active steps to hide their finances and to frustrate the court’s efforts to determine what happened.’

Cartel said his wife was hospitalized in February with a mental health condition after she became unwell in November – making it difficult for him to recover all the work files, as well as to speak to his wife about the missing money.

In December, Bui said through her lawyer that Cartel was ‘not responsible for the improper transferring of trust funds, nor is any other associate or employee of the firm.’

In April the couple had their law licenses suspended.

Last week, Cartel told the news outlet that he plans to challenge the the judge’s decision, claiming ‘he ignored the facts.’

‘I’ve delivered all documents in my possession, delivered thousands of pages of real estate files… I will be bringing a motion to either address this, to have it set aside or varied in some regard,’ he said.

Two experts who specialize in professional legal discipline told CBC News that they believe that the couple could face penalties that could include fines or even imprisonment.

They also explained that they will also likely draw misconduct charges from Ontario’s professional regulatory body for lawyers

  • Who Is Sahith Theegala’s Caddie? All About PGA Tour Pro’s Biggest Supporter’s Career & Lifestyle

Who Is Sahith Theegala’s Caddie? All About PGA Tour Pro’s Biggest Supporter’s Career & Lifestyle

As important as it is to have reliable fan support, one cannot deny that having great support impacts a golfer’s game more than we’d like to expect. And we think Sahith Theegala would know a thing or two about that. He has been making waves in the industry since his first PGA Tour win at the 2023 Fortinet Championship. His parents and his trusty caddie, Carl Smith are two major parts of his support system, and today, we will get to know his bagman a bit better.

Their on-course connection goes way back to Theegala’s college days at Pepperdine, where Smith was the assistant coach who recruited him. Talk about full circle, right? Theegala sure explains it as one. “And [Smith] actually ended up leaving to caddie right before I got there, so it kind of worked full circle that he actually caddied for me in the Korn Ferry Finals,” Theegala said previously.

Smith has been appointed as Theegala’s caddie as of 2024, and the fans believe the golfer’s game has been improved massively. Before teaming up with Theegala, Smith worked with other golfers like Andrew Putnam and Cameron Tringale, but it’s clear he’s found his perfect match with Theegala.

    Article continues below this ad

What did Putnam think of losing his caddie to Theegala?

As a caddie, Smith had been working with Andrew Putnam for quite some time before he chose to leave and join forces with the Indian-American golfer. Smith’s decision was influenced by his desire to work with a young player and help them navigate the hardships of the PGA Tour. Having previously recruited Theegala at Pepperdine, he saw immense potential in him.

While the fans expected the golfer to have bad blood and whatnot, the aftershow was quite the opposite. According to Putnam, he was understanding of the situation and respected Smith’s decision. “They made it through, and then he ended up firing me; it was all good because Carl recruited Sahith, and he had always wanted a young rookie who he could show the ropes, and I was OK with it,” said the golfer per Golf Digest.

Smith’s move ultimately led to Theegala earning his PGA Tour card, while Putnam continued his journeyman career and joined forces with Jordan Guilford in 2024. Now that Smith has Theegala’s back, the duo is seen making waves in the industry, and the fans believe it is because of their laid-back and relaxed relationship on and off the course.

The iconic duo: Sahith Theegala and Carl Smith

Carl Smith and Sahith Theegala’s partnership on the golf course is built on trust, mutual respect, and a lot of talks about other sports. As they navigate the greens, the duo conversations often veer away from golf and onto their shared love of basketball. Yeah, it was quite surprising to us as well. “We talk about basketball all the time because I follow basketball and the Lakers a lot,” said Smith, per Golf Monthly.

Smith also recalled Theegala’s palpable enthusiasm before the 2023 Sony Open. “Last week, though, at Sony, he was really excited about Klay Thompson coming back to the Warriors with Steph (Curry) and Klay back together.” This shows that both of them are avid NBA fans. Whether it is excitement for his two favorite NBA players joining forces or his gameplay on the greens, Smith lets Theegala have his moment.

    USA Today via Reuters

When it comes to the golf tournaments, Smith has learned to trust Theegala’s instincts, and he has admitted it. “’Alright, I’m going to let him do it, I guess,’ and I’ve never regretted it.” Smith has had a front-row seat to Theegala’s magic on the course, and we mean literally. He has watched the golfer pull off jaw-dropping escape shots from the most tough places. “He has this ability if he’s out of position off the tee to just shape it crazy around trees,” explained Smith.

If Smith’s words aren’t enough to prove the improvement Theegala’s game has seen, the results are always there to make a good case. The golfer has had seven top-ten finishes in the 2024 season alone, which proves that he and his skills are thriving under the supervision of his extremely reliable caddie and friend. So what do you think about this duo? Let us know in the comment section below!

The tech world celebrated Essential Phone for its design and long-term software support. However, the real-world performance of the device wasn’t up to the mark, and it sold very poorly, forcing Essential to shut shop in 2020.

OSOM, which the company claims stands for “Out of Sight, Out of Mind,” was formed by several of Essential’s former employees. The company promised two smartphones: Saga Phone and OV1. These smartphones were to run Android OS. However, both failed to garner any respectable response and failed.

OSOM is now in financial trouble, and a former employee has alleged the company’s CEO and founder is at fault. Specifically speaking, OSOM’s founder and “Chief Hooligan,” Jason Keats, kept Essential’s previous founder, Andy Rubin away, but hired several ex-employees of the company.

Why has OSOM Ex-CPO filed a lawsuit?

OSOM’s former Chief Privacy Officer Mary Ross has filed a lawsuit against the company. Ross, who left the company in May 2024 according to her LinkedIn profile, has reportedly requested the court to scrutinize OSOSM’s books and records.

The lawsuit against OSOM, specifically aims to prove financial mismanagement by Jason Keats. Android Authority reviewed the court documents, and it appears Ross claims Keats abused his position in the company to misappropriate funds.

The lawsuit claims he purchased two Lamborghinis, paid for his racing hobby, paid for his racing partner’s salary, expensed multiple first-class travel tickets, paid his mortgage, and more. Besides these allegations, the lawsuit also claims OSOM is on the brink of a financial collapse.

Ross has alleged the company’s resources are depleted, and the company would need to raise additional capital just to survive. As expected, OSOM has refuted these allegations. The company assures it will disprove all of the allegations in court.

When Stephanie Foran (38) set out to become a beauty therapist after leaving school, she knew one thing in her gut: one day she would have her own salon.

Since then, she’s gone on to work in various establishments around Scotland, and for the last 10 years, she has been the owner of The Dolls House in Inverness.

However, what she didn’t expect was for her vision to change and for her to step away from the ‘beauty’ world and into the world of wellness.

Having committed to being plant-based eight years ago, she’s since gone on to transform her life.

Now, she’s changed her business plan, with The Dolls House now becoming Willow & Blue—a sanctuary on Longman Drive catering to every element of holistic healing and health.

She now has over 14 people working within her premises, offering treatments such as an infrared sauna, hypnotherapy, yoga classes, mindfulness, and massage.

Speaking about the transformation while at the recently refurbished premises, the mum of two, said: “It was just like I changed. I had adopted all these new practices, and I no longer had the passion to do what I was doing.

“I loved everyone I worked with and all the clients, but I had changed. I no longer wanted to do what I was.

“I knew I wanted to offer something different to people, which focused on their overall wellbeing.

“That’s how Willow & Blue came about.”

Stephanie—alongside her business partner and long-time friend Karen Baxter—is now hoping to see Willow & Blue become the ‘new night out’ in Inverness.

“We want to provide an offering where people can come for birthdays, hen parties, corporate events, and much more.

“People can book in to do a sound bath, have facials, and enjoy our smoothie bar all at once. The options are unlimited, and we are so excited to invite people in, whatever the occasion is.”

Those wishing to visit Willow & Blue can also book in to enjoy a drink at The Detox Lounge, which offers a range of nutritional beverages and will soon see food added to the menu too.

An element Stephanie is very excited about is the retail unit, which includes a range of products such as skincare, candles, and crystals — all made in the local area.

She said: “Whether you need to get a gift for someone or just want to treat yourself to something, you are welcome to come along.”

Although Willow & Blue is an exciting adventure for Stephanie and is something she knows in her heart and soul she needs to do, it hasn’t always been plain sailing.

After years of high VAT charges, Covid repayments, and electric bills, she has evolved the business with pennies in the bank.

“It’s been hard, and it’s been a risk doing this,” she said. “My family are living in a caravan at the moment as we are building a new house, so we have no money!

“But I just knew this was something I needed to do.

“People say ‘oh, she’s a good businesswoman’, but really I just follow my gut.

“At the moment, I’m just taking it one week at a time and following that passion, as I know this is what I’m meant to be doing.”
