To make stuffed idli pakoda at home, you’ll need just a handful of ingredients and 15 minutes of your time. Here are the steps:

Eisenhower Auditorium celebrates 50 years with Move Mix Festival | Lifestyle

Penn State’s Center for the Performing Arts hosted the Move Mix Festival at the Eisenhower Auditorium on Saturday, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the performance space.

Students, faculty and families had the opportunity to watch a variety of performances including singing, dancing, percussion and more.

Sydney Osinloye, a third-year studying advertising/public relations and international politics, helped run the event as the arts engagement assistant.

“Seeing all the groups that I wasn’t aware of [was my favorite part],” Osinloye said. “Especially the Nittany Ballet, because they’re off campus, so I didn’t know that they existed, but I was locked in when they were performing. It was really good.”

The Move Mix Festival highlighted singers from all across campus. Penn State’s a cappella groups Shades of Blue and None of the Above and solo performers including Livi Hepler and Keira Gail took the stage.

Whether someone was a fan of beatboxing, circus performances or rock bands, they had the opportunity to tailor their Move Mix Festival experience to their own interests with performances simultaneously going on in the lobby, on the patio, at the loading deck and in the conference room at Eisenhower.

Brooke Ajay, a third-year studying music but switching to biotechnology, came to the Move Mix Festival to support her friend Livi.

“I really liked Keira who performed ‘Linger,’ Ajay said. “That was probably the prettiest cover of it I’ve ever heard.”

With a packed schedule from 2 to 8 p.m., the festival highlighted a number of different dance styles in addition to all of the vocal performances.

Hip-hop dance group Raw Aesthetic Movements (R.A.M.) Squad, Nittany Ballet and belly dancer Shannon Bishop were just three of the dance performances Move Mix had to offer.

Dancers from raw aesthetic movements organization perform at the move mix festival at Eisenhower Auditorium on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024 in University Park, Pa.

Not only did attendees get to see dancers perform, but they also had the opportunity to participate in workshops, including the Black Cat Belly Dance workshop taught by Bishop.

Brianna Zelek, a third-year studying forensic science, stumbled upon the event and decided to take part.

“I was literally just walking by — I was looking for a place to study for the afternoon, and I heard the music, and I was like ‘Okay, I’m going to go check this out,’” Zelek said. “I don’t really know what the event is, but I do kind of want to stay and see what’s going on.”

The Move Mix Festival brought the Penn State and State College community together through art, music and dance.

“Everyone in the arts community is pretty open, and nothing is really side-eye-worthy,” Osinloye said. “There’s really no judgment, and you don’t get that vibe from anyone. If they see something different, it’s a compliment rather than a judgment.”

Samantha Armytage reportedly on the move to Nine to host network’s next big reality TV hope

Speculation about who could potentially host Channel Nine’s forthcoming The Golden Bachelor is reaching fever pitch.

Entertainment journalist Peter Ford weighed into the debate this week, tipping that the host of the Nine version of the ABC US smash hit will be none other than Samantha Armytage.

The popular presenter, 47, announced her departure from Seven in August after 21 years with the network.

Taking to X, Peter responded to a report on Inside Media about the likely host, claiming it would be almost certainly be the former Farmer Wants A Wife helmer.

‘If I were a betting man, I’d put money on @samarmytage,’ Peter suggested.

‘She’s now a free agent after leaving 7 and has been clear she was interested in new opportunities.’

The report itself scuttled rumours that previous Bachelor host Osher Gunsberg would make a return to the franchise.

‘For those wondering whether original Bachelor host Osher Gunsberg will be returning to the franchise I have some very bad news,’ presenter Rob McKnight began.

‘My sources say Osher has missed out on a Red Rose.’

Rob added that he will be replaced by a ‘popular, but surprising’ TV presenter.

‘And I can confirm, despite media speculation, that it is not Sonia Kruger,’ he said.

Yahoo Lifestyle reported last week that Sonia could be getting ready to jump ship from Seven to host the latest iteration of the Bachelor franchise.

“The word on the street is that Sonia could reboot The Golden Bachelor on Channel Nine in 2025,’ a source told the publication.

Rob said that while he couldn’t spill the beans just yet, that Osher’s replacement would ‘blow your mind.’

The original series, which screened on ABC in the US, starred 72-year-old Gerry Turner, a retired restauranteur and widower.

Gerry chose to propose to 70-year-old Theresa Nist and the network aired their wedding as a live special.

Despite the fanfare, the couple divorced three months later.

The series proved to be a ratings juggernaut for ABC, with the finale hitting 6.1 million American screens, giving the franchise its highest numbers in three years.

Chelsea appoint new CEO for their women’s team with ‘no experience of running a football club’ in surprise move amid ownership tension at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea have appointed a former media professional as their women’s team new chief executive officer in a bizarre move by the club, according to reports.

The Blues are the reigning Women’s Super League champions after winning the English top-flight title for a record-breaking seventh time under Emma Hayes last season.

Hayes later made the decision to leave Chelsea in favour of becoming the next United States women head coach in a move that sparked several changes at Stamford Bridge.

The women’s team is now running entirely separate to Chelsea’s men’s squad and have taken the decision to appoint former Athletic general manager Aki Mandhar into the top director role, as reported by the Guardian.

Mandhar doesn’t boast any football management experience, but has been tasked with delivering success both on and off the field for the Blues women’s team moving forward.

She previously fulfilled the role of chief operating officer at the Daily Telegraph having initially embarked on a career in public relations.

Chelsea is a new project for Mandhar and will reportedly be tasked with improving matchday attendances after the club struggled to fill out seats at Stamford Bridge last season.

The Blues struggled while Arsenal in contrast generated huge home crowds when they moved to playing WSL and Champions League matches at the Emirates.

Mandhar is expected to be tasked with improving attendances for women's games at Stamford Bridge

Meanwhile, Mandhar’s arrival comes at a time when there is disparity between investors at the top of the club amidst a souring in the relationship between co-owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali.

50-year-old Boehly has been the face of Chelsea that was formerly represented by ex-owner Roman Abramovich, who oversaw the club’s greatest period of success prior to being forced to sell after the UK Government imposed restrictions amidst Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Now there are suggestions that Boehly and Eghbali both want to buy each other’s shares to gain a greater controlling portion. Mail Sport previously revealed that Clearlake Capital have no intention of selling their stake.

Clearlake own a 61.5 per cent majority in Chelsea, but all key decisions are made as a collective process between a group of four main investors.

Former Tottenham star Steven Bergwijn has fired back at Ronald Koeman after the Netherlands manager ‘closed the book’ on his international career.

Bergwijn, 26, completed a €21m (£17.7m) move from Ajax to the Saudi Pro League giants Al-Ittihad on Monday.

The winger was not selected for the Netherlands’ upcoming Nations League fixtures against Bosnia and Herzegovina and Germany, amid the speculation surrounding his future.

In his press conference, Koeman slammed Bergwijn over the move saying it showed a lack of ‘sporting ambition’.

In comments published by Dutch outlet De Telegraaf, a frustrated Bergwijn has bit back at Koeman insisting ‘that’s not how you treat your players’.

He said: ‘I don’t even want to play for this manager anymore. I won’t play for someone who portrays me like he has done in the media.

‘He could have called me, hear my side of the story. How can he say such things without talking to me?’

Bergwijn, has won 35 caps for the Netherlands and was part of Koeman’s squad at Euro 2024 where they reached the semi-finals before losing to England.

And, speaking to the media on Tuesday after his group came together, Koeman hit out at Bergwijn when asked about the winger and claimed the move to Saudi Arabia has significantly impacted his international ambitions.

‘Steven Bergwijn goes to Saudi Arabia at the age of 26,’ he said. ‘It’s clear that this has nothing to do with sporting ambition.

‘His book with the Dutch National Team is closed.’

Koeman was then questioned on whether Bergwijn had discussed the move with him, before he added: ‘No, he probably knows what I would have said.’

The manager also said that the case was different to Georginio Wijnaldum who was still picked after he left Paris Saint-Germain for Al-Ettifaq last year.

‘He could only go to that country to play football until January. In Bergwijn’s case is that he goes at the age of 26, sporting ambition does not prevail.’

Bergwijn played 60 times for Tottenham between 2020 and 2022 before joining Ajax.

At Al-Ittihad he will play alongside the likes of N’Golo Kante, Fabinho and Karim Benzema.

    • But Paul Scholes believes a player from his Red Devils days was even worse

Paul Scholes has named Manchester United’s worst signing of all time, after his old club were humiliated 3-0 by Liverpool on Sunday.

The Red Devils legend, whose glittering career at Old Trafford spanned two decades, won a litany of trophies under Sir Alex Ferguson including 11 Premier League titles, three FA Cups and two Champions Leagues.

During a fan-led debate with ex-Liverpool star Jamie Carragher and journalist David Ornstein, Scholes shared who he believes are the best and worst signings in Manchester United’s history, first waxing lyrical about the impact Eric Cantona and Wayne Rooney had on the club.

The Red Devils were resoundly beaten by Arne Slot’s Liverpool at Old Trafford, in the latest blotch on United’s legacy since Scholes’ retirement from football back in 2013.

The disappointing defeat led one fan to suggest that Antony is the worst Man United signing of all-time, given that the Brazilian was an unused substitute again during Sunday’s defeat and has only contributed 11 goals and five assists since his £85million transfer from Ajax back in 2022.

Antony has only managed 16 goal contributions in over two years at Old Trafford

Antony, who was an unused substitute at Old Trafford at the weekend, was branded Man United’s worst signing of all time by a fan following his £85m switch from Ajax back in 2022

Offering a different view, Scholes told The Overlap’s Fan Debate, brought to you by Sky Bet: ‘You know what, I was going to go a bit further back than that.

‘(Juan Sebastian) Veron was a good player, a great player in Europe and I’m not sure why it didn’t work out for him.

‘I go back to the goalkeepers, when we had to replace Peter Schmeichel which is always going to be difficult.’

‘Fabian Barthez was great, but I’m thinking more like (Massimo) Taibi, Mark Bosnich… I thought he was a good keeper at Villa, Mark. He came to us and was so unprofessional. Honestly, it was ridiculous.

‘In shooting practice, you normally have like 15-20 minutes, after three shots he was knackered. And I never realised, he couldn’t kick a football! Honestly, I’d never seen anything like it.

‘We played Everton away first game of the season and none of us picked up on it – he couldn’t reach the halfway line. And there was no wind, it was a perfect day.

‘And then you look at his feet… size 14s. Honestly, he was just kicking the floor. Disappointment.’

Going back to Antony, he added: ‘But yeah, when you talk about the money – and the value for money, it’s not been good has it? And think of (Alexis) Sanchez as well. Big disappointment from Arsenal.

‘My worst one? I’m going to go for Bosnich,’ Scholes concluded.

Joking in response, Carragher added: ‘He’ll be right on the socials, won’t he? He won’t take that lying down!’

‘He’ll have something to say won’t he?’ Scholes replied, in agreement.

Pete Davidson Should ‘Move in With His Mom’ Amid Rehab Return (EXCL)

Pete Davidson was teetering on the brink of a nervous breakdown and left with little choice but to check himself into a psychiatric facility in yet another desperate attempt to get sober, source exclusively tells In Touch

Ever since the Saturday Night Live alum, 30, split from Outer Banks stunner Madelyn Cline in July, his behavior has gotten increasingly unpredictable and erratic, the insider reports.

“Pete took the breakup very hard,” says the source. “For just a blink of an eye, he may have thought she was the one. They burned so brightly together and had so much in common.”

The serial lothario has long battled substance-abuse issues, including an addiction to the dangerous hallucinogen ketamine, which he once claimed to have taken every day for four years

He’s been in rehab at least seven times before, with one recent stretch ending last September.

The Bupkis creator has also been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder as well as post-traumatic stress disorder related to the death of his father, a New York City firefighter who was killed in the World Trade Center attacks on September 11, 2001, when Pete was only seven.

“I’m always depressed,” the comedian says. “I have to constantly bring myself out of it.

“My rock bottom is when people are scared for my life and I have to go away, and then I have to bring myself back up again,” he explains.

“I think I’ve hit it a few times [but] as long as you’re around good, supportive people, and if you’re strong enough, you’ll be able to get out of it.”

After his latest breakdown, Pete’s pals are pleading with him to ditch the glitzy Tinseltown lifestyle and return to his blue-collar roots in Staten Island, N.Y., the source says.

“Pete should move in with his mom [Amy] and not look back,” says the insider.

“Life in the Hollywood fast lane continues to chew him up and spit him out and it’s not healthy for someone with Pete’s problems.”

“He’s just not solid enough to say ‘no,’ when he has to.”

He felt especially used by reality star ex girlfriend Kim Kardashian, who loved basking in all the publicity they attracted.

But people close to Pete say she just used him as a rebound romance after she ditched kooky hubby Ye, formerly Kanye West

“Those are not the people who care deeply for him and want to see him at his best,” the source says.

“Where’s Kim when all the stuff goes down? Nowhere! But what do you expect from Hollywood?”
