    A German documentary has accused Prince Harry and Meghan Markle of hypocrisy while enjoying an ‘elitist’ lifestyle in the United States. The programme takes a dig at the couple by detailing how their much-publicised visits to poverty-stricken countries such as Nigeria and Colombia sits uneasily with Meghan’s love of expensive designer clothes.

    The Lost Prince has been created by German network ZDF and promises to take viewers inside Harry and Meghan’s life in Montecito, California, following their decision to leave the Royal Family.

    Harry’s future role within the monarchy will also come under scrutiny in the documentary. In the promotional material for the film, ZDF said, “Even in his self-imposed exile in Montecito, California, he remains a figure of public interest. His commitment to charitable organisations – such as the Invictus Games he founded for wounded servicemen and women – always puts him in the spotlight.”

    Award-winning filmmaker Ulrike Grunewald has spoken to the couple’s neighbors for the documentary as well as veterans who knew Prince Harry and a number of royal reporters and experts.

    Former soldier Ben McBean, who shared a flight home from Afghanistan with Harry criticised the prince over his revelations about his family in his bombshell memoir Spare and in his Netflix show. McBean, who lost his left arm and had his right leg amputated above the knee after being seriously injured by a landmine blast in Afghanistan in 2008, didn’t hold back when he featured on the documentary, reports the DailyMail.

    The veteran soldier says: “I just thought, with him kind of whinging about his family and he was saying something about his brother pushing him over or something like that, I was just like, “Mate, just leave it out” You and your brother had a little fisticuffs…but family’s family, you know. If one of my friends fell out with his partner and started posting things on social media and saying my ex is this and that, I’d have told him to shut up as well.”

    The documentary also points the finger at Harry and Meghan for inevitably trading off their former Royal roles by seeking to make money to support their lifestyle.

    One reporter Russel Myers says on the show: “If you’re going to places like Nigeria, like Colombia, which have huge socio-economic problems, some of the world’s poorest communities in these countries, and you’re turning up wearing tens of thousands of pounds worth of designer clothes – it really doesn’t send the right message.”

    The Sussexes left the Royal Family in 2020 in what’s been now named as “Megxit” by many royal watchers. At the time, several of Germany’s media were critical of the couple’s decision to step down. But by 2023, when Germany hosted Harry’s Invictus Games, the country had warmed up to the couple.

    The documentary comes just one week before Netflix release Harry’s documentary Polo, which will explore the royal’s favourite sport. The five-part docuseries will officially debut on December 10. The highly-anticipated show follows polo players “on and off the field” as they compete in the US Open Polo Championships, and feature snippets of Harry and Meghan themselves.

    MailOnline was given a preview of the documentary before it was screened to an audience of millions in Germany tonight.

    Jack Royston from the podcast The Royal Report also picked up on the couple’s desire to be ‘half in and half out’ of the Royal family which was dismissed by the late Queen. 

    He says: ‘If you have a situation where Harry and Meghan are earning huge amounts of money in Hollywood trading off their reputations, but then they’re also bolstering their reputations by working for the Queen – they’re able to present themselves on the world stage as being these working members of the royal family who are also available for a price.

    ‘That is a huge compromise to demand off the monarchy. If they were to be perceived to be promoting their commercial projects while representing the Queen, then that’s also… starting to border on corruption there because they should never be using the monarchy as a platform.’ 

    Royston adds: ‘The particular way in which Harry and Meghan crashed out of the Royal Family, firing hand grenades at Harry’s relatives, caused their reputation to be significantly damaged. 

    ‘And that has had a major impact on their capacity to make the world a better place because a lot of people just aren’t listening to them at all!’ 

    Royston also points out the huge cost of the Invictus games with the massive contribution by the German taxpayer and the expectation that public funds in the UK will have to support the games which are booked to be held in Birmingham in 2027.

    Describing it as ‘a huge amount of money and obviously falling on the taxpayer’, he said: ‘It’s going to be a big issue at the 2027 games which is in Birmingham, as Birmingham recently was driven to the verge of bankruptcy.’

    Royston also refers to Harry and Meghan as now being ‘part of an elite in America’, leading lives which separate them even further from the Royal family. 

    Richard Mineards, one of the couple’s neighbours in Montecito, also appears, talking about the exclusive lifestyle that the couple enjoy in the area. 

    He says: ‘It doesn’t come cheap. I mean…most houses are about eight or nine million dollars.’ 

    But he added: ‘I personally don’t think that Meghan is an asset to our community… She doesn’t really go out or get involved with the community. 

    ‘Harry has to a certain extent, because he’s quite jolly…but Meghan doesn’t seem to get seen anywhere…. And you don’t see him either.’ 

    The documentary also features Royal biographer Angela Levin, talking about Harry’s dissatisfaction at ‘Megxit’, saying, ‘he didn’t get exactly what he wanted – that he could be half in the royal family and half out.’ 

    She explains in the programme: ‘But the late Queen who died said that actually doesn’t work and I don’t want you to use your position within the royal family to make money.’ 

    German journalist Dr Ulrike Grunewald, who directed the documentary, says: ‘What surprised me most was how ineffectively Harry and Meghan’s foundation is organised.

    ‘The amount of donations has fallen drastically in one year: from $13million in 2021 to $2million in 2022. According to their own documents, Harry and Meghan only work one hour a week for the Archewell Foundation.’ 

    Dai Davies, a former Head of Royal Protection and a Divisional Commander in the Metropolitan Police, also criticises Harry, accusing him of making others a target by detailing in his book how many Taliban fighters he had killed in his Apache helicopter.

    Davies says: ‘In his book, Spare, for him to disclose, as he did, that he had killed a number of Taliban was, in my opinion, totally unwise, because I was aware, as indeed he was, that the Taliban and various groups had put a price on his head.

     ‘And really, I think that price still remains, which could form a basis for him saying, well, I need security. 

    ‘If you open your big mouth, as he has collectively, that book, not just on that, but given away all kinds of secrets, then it’s not surprising that some people might regard you as a potential target.’ 

    Davies also accuses Harry of failing to mix much with ordinary people on what he describes as their ‘carefully orchestrated’ international trips. 

    He says: ‘In Colombia, although there are very rich people there, the vast majority, 85 per cent or 90 per cent, are very poor.

    ‘And what I’ve noticed of these tours, he mixes with the upper classes. He doesn’t really, apart from carefree orchestrated areas where he mixes with so-called the ‘normal people’ – well they’re not. 

    ‘These are carefully orchestrated campaigns as far as I can see… I look quite dispassionately at the evidence and the evidence I’ve seen is, it’s all about Harry and Meghan.   

    ‘It’s very little to do with an actual alleged rationale for going there.’

    Meghan Markle has left fans eagerly awaiting the launch of her lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, which is set to debut in the coming months. The Duchess of Sussex teased the project with a glamorous video, Instagram page, and website eight months ago, but has since kept details under wraps, revealing only a logo and a waitlist sign-up for fans.

    However, Royal expert Tina Brown believes Meghan is drawing inspiration from Hollywood star Gwyneth Paltrow’s successful Goop brand, which she reportedly researched extensively in the early stages of her career. Meghan’s trademark applications suggest she plans to sell a range of luxury items, from high-end homeware to gourmet jam.

    This isn’t her first foray into the wellness market, as she previously ran a lifestyle blog called The Tig, which featured travel and food recommendations, as well as guest posts from celebrity friends. According to Brown, Meghan became a devoted reader of Goop during her time running The Tig, which she shut down after starting to date Prince Harry.

    Brown has praised Paltrow’s “canny” creation of a wellness e-commerce site, which sells items like $550 healing quartz necklaces and $66 yoni eggs for enhanced orgasms. She added: “Although it was much mocked by the highbrow press, Goop attracted an adoring following from millennials and big investment and became a $250million business – and some of the bizarre items have attracted attention, and revenue.”

    A member of the Suits team even revealed to the author that “Meghan was always talking about Goop.”

    Ms Brown did say that there was no proper comparison between the Tig and Goop as she added: “What The Tig lacked was Paltrow’s sly positioning that she was in on the joke of monetising eyeballs. The wink-wink sensationalism of Goop’s This Smells Like My Vagina scented candle would never have found itself onto Meghan’s earnestly tasteful Tig.”

    Insiders have also suggested that Meghan aspires to compete with Paltrow’s site, which profits handsomely from New Age wellness luxuries.

    The Tig was named after her favourite robust red wine, Tignanello. Reports suggest that Meghan’s new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, will likely concentrate on food and drink, with her confidant Omid Scobie suggesting that she wants to create something “accessible” for people.

    Rumours are circulating that it will launch in May next year to coincide with a cooking show she may be hosting on Netflix.

    The brand made waves in June when the Duchess dispatched a PR package to Prince Harry‘s polo buddy Nacho Figueras, which included dog biscuits and a jar of raspberry jam. Prior to this, she had sent strawberry jams to her celebrity friends such as Kris Jenner, Mindy Kaling and Chrissy Teigen.

    FOOTBALL PREVIEW: Sweeny set for crucial district game against Royal | Sports

    Despite starting the season with three losses, Sweeny Bulldogs head coach Jay Seibert could point to positives in each defeat.

    Back-to-back 300-plus yard rushing performances against Van Vleck and state-ranked Bay City were followed by significant growth from the defense, which allowed just 10 points to Stafford in Week 3.

    Sweeny regained its footing with back-to-back wins, including an 80-6 rout of Katy Harmony in last week’s District 10-4A, Division 2 opener. It also set the school record for the most points scored in a game.

    “A lot of people didn’t realize we only had six returners and had a bunch of guys from the JV and didn’t even play football, so we went through some rough spells, but the team stuck together strong, and I’m excited about the district and about what they’re capable of doing,” Seibert said.

    The results in the next three weeks will determine the level of improvement.

    This period includes meetings with Brookshire Royal and Columbia, beginning with a trip to Falcon Stadium. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. Friday.

    “We’ve approached it all week that this is the biggest game of the year to this point,” Seibert said. “In the next three weeks, we have two big games, and to win district, you have to beat Royal and West Columbia.”

    La Marque and Wharton remain threats and play each other Friday.

    With a win, La Marque would improve to 2-0, but there’s a feeling that the District 10-4A, Division 2 champion, will come from the trio of Columbia, Royal and Sweeny.

    There’s extra ammunition for Sweeny based on how last year’s trip to Falcon Stadium ended.

    They say losses are what you remember most, and if that’s the case, Royal’s 36-31 come-from-behind win is a reel stuck in a loop in the mind of Sweeny’s staff and players.

    “It’s been circled on my calendar because last year we didn’t travel over there very well, we weren’t focused, and we didn’t play great,” Seibert said. “Last year, we went over there and led for 47 of the 48 minutes and lost the game in the last minute.”

    The loss began a three-game slide to close the season — which reached six games before Sweeny beat Brazosport in Week 4 — eventually serving as the turning point in Sweeny’s playoff chase.

    “If we win that game and hold on, we get second place and make the playoffs, and losing that game pushed us all the out, so it was a devastating loss for us,” Seibert said.

    Royal further hurt the Dogs by losing to La Marque the next week, which triggered the rare scenario of Sweeny missing the playoffs.

    Columbia benefitted from both results and then beat Royal in the regular-season finale to finish runner-up to Bellville.

    Now that there are no Brahmas in the district, the crown will likely go to the team that best navigates the next three weeks.

    “We want to put everything together to have a great game and get off to a 2-0 start in district,” Seibert said.

    Neither team looks much like the ones that took the field a year ago.

    Royal returns more starters but had to replace the sport’s most important position after the transfer of quarterback Ashton Robinson, who accounted for 2,700 yards and 30 touchdowns last season.

    “They have a young sophomore quarterback (Mason Hartwell) that is very good, and I know losing the other kid hurts their offense, but this guy has filled in well,” Seibert said.

    Royal scored 60 points in its 2-2 start to the season, averaging 15 per game.

    The Falcons were on a bye last week, which it likely used to clean up some of the mistakes that have plagued them.

    “Their offense is better than what I think people think,” Seibert said. “At times, their offense is extremely explosive and makes some big plays, but they hurt themselves a lot and get in their own way. When they execute and do well, I think they can put some points on the board.”

    Royal returns most of its skill players, including utility player Noah Lasker and running back Zakai Anderson, who rushed for more than 1,100 yards and 12 touchdowns.

    “Their No. 7 (Lasker) is a very explosive kid, and we want to know where he is at all times. They hand him the ball, pitch him the ball, throw him screens and throw it to him downfield,” Seibert said. “They have two or three other skill kids capable of making big plays as well.”

    However, the Falcons lack experience up front, and they have had to replace four offensive linemen to protect the young quarterback.

    “They do have a young quarterback and offensive line, so the plan is to see if we can create something to make him uncomfortable,” Seibert said.

    Sweeny’s defense has settled in after allowing 105 points in the first two games.

    It has altered its personnel by playing more players both ways, including running backs Cayden Jones, Rooke Samford and Seth Jammer.

    With multiple players rarely leaving the field, last week’s blowout allowed for rest ahead of the meeting with Royal.

    “The good thing was we had that game last week, where we were able to give them some rest, and we didn’t quite practice as physical last week, but we’ve amped it back up this week,” Seibert said.

    Sweeny’s offense has scored 129 points in its last two games, averaging 38.6 per game for the season.

    After failing to establish a complementary option behind Jones, the running back rotation has been settled with the emergence of Samford and Jammer.

    Jammer plays tailback, Samford is the halfback and Jones can reach 1,000 yards Friday at fullback.

    Royal returned just four starters on defense, but the ones it brought back are in key positions.

    “They have two studs on our guards, and we pull our guards, so there’s a thing we have to do to make sure they can get out,” Seibert said. “You’re having to push pretty big guys and still create holes for our running backs to get through.”

    Tyler Lavallier and Broderick Burr anchor the Falcons defensive line and can be disruptors in the interior of the 4-3 front.

    “They both look like they could play college football next year,” Seibert said. “Those two are a challenge for our interior offensive line, and we must be able to hand them.”

    Middle linebacker Malik Hooker is back, and he’s a sideline-to-sideline defender that reads the field well, Seibert said. Royal is inexperienced in the backend but has substantial athleticism in its secondary.

    “As a group, they run to the ball well,” Seibert said. “They haven’t scored much, but they haven’t gotten blown out either, but the defense plays well, and you have to earn your touchdowns.”

    Royal allows an average of 22 points per game and has held opponents to 15 or fewer points in three of its four games.

    The Falcons play Columbia next week. The Roughnecks then travel Oct. 18 to Bulldog Stadium for a meeting with Sweeny.

    Soon, a district with plenty of question marks will have clarity or chaos, depending on the next three weeks.

    Royal Enfield Launches Exclusive Riding Gear and Lifestyle Apparel Range for Women

    Royal Enfield has introduced an exclusive range of riding gear and lifestyle apparel designed specifically for women in India, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s commitment to fostering inclusivity in motorcycling. Introduced as part of the brand’s “She Rides Her Way” campaign, this new collection of riding gear features all-weather and mesh riding jackets, along with both half-face and full-face helmets. In addition to riding gear, Royal Enfield has unveiled a variety of women-specific apparel, including bomber jackets, denim jackets, riding denims, leather jackets, t-shirts, vests, sweatshirts, reflective puffer jackets, as well as waist-high and thigh bags. With prices beginning at Rs 900, the range is affordably priced. With this launch, the bike manufacturer aims to inspire and empower the growing community of women riders across India, offering gear that not only protects but also complements their passion for riding.

    Streetwind Eco Riding Jacket (Rs 6,500):

    This eco-friendly women’s riding jacket is crafted from 75 recycled PET bottles and made entirely from sustainable materials.

    Tourer Women’s Riding Jacket (Rs 9,950): 

    The jacket has CE Level 2 SAFE TECH armour at the shoulders, elbows, and back, made from stretchable, breathable polyester mesh. It includes multiple pockets, and reflective detailing, and is CE CLASS A certified.

    Ride More Leggings (Rs 5,500):

    The high-abrasion Poly Lycra leggings come with CE Level 2 Safe Tech knee protectors and CE Level 1 ESA hip protectors, offering a pre-curved fit, RE branding, two back pockets, and CE CLASS A certification for added safety.

    Ride More Boots (Rs 6,000): 

    Designed from abrasion-resistant leather with a rubber sole, these boots feature a molded TPR ankle protector, padded interior, toe shift patch, removable and washable inner sole, and reflective details for better visibility.

    Hustle Women’s Gloves (Rs 990): 

    These are made from 100% polyester air mesh with microsuede and poly stretch fabric, and provide TPR knuckle protection and 4mm rubber sponge padding for palm protection.

    Street Ace Women’s Gloves (Rs 1,290):

    Similar to the Hustle gloves, but in a full-finger design, providing ventilation, safety, and a fashionable look.

    Half and Full Face Helmets (Rs 2,200): 

    A collection of helmets for maximum safety and comfort.
