Here, we have to agree with what Zlatan said because the real teams will see Shedeur’s potential rather than hold grudges against Coach Prime. Because these stints and this sport run hand in hand.

    Everyone is aware of a little cold war happening between Coach Prime and CBS Sport, and they ranked Shedeur Sanders as the No. 1 quarterback in their rankings a few days ago. According to him, there are a few teams incapable of molding quarterbacks, and it will stunt their growth as players. After all, he wishes the best for his son. He only said that because if the wrong team picks Shedeur, he’ll need to intervene and pull an Eli Manning saga if the situation demands.

    “Eli, a LaVar Ba-l, a LeBron… I’m pulling all of them. Sincerely, we’ve talked about it ostensibly. I’ve talked to multiple teams because they’re at practice every day. But I want what’s best for him, and I want him to be happy as well. You don’t really get to dictate where your son gets to go because there’s a draft process, but you know us, you know how we are. We know who ain’t trying to win in the NFL; you know who’s consistently in the basement year after year. You don’t want that situation for your kid,” Deion said.

    What is this Eli Manning saga that Deion talks about? Well, the son of legendary Archie Manning was selected by the San Diego Chargers in 2004 as the No. 1 pick in the 2004 NFL Draft. However, before the event could have happened and knowing the Chargers would have the first pick, Eli had made it clear that he would not feature for San Diego. That resulted in a mind-blowing trade to the Giants for Philip Rivers. Similarly, LaVar Ba-l is known in the NBA world for making outrageous statements, and some of them were even related to the drafting situations of Lonzo Ba-l and LaMelo Ba-l.

    Head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes football team, Super Bowl winner and NFL Hall of Famer Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders, is coming under fire from an atheist group for holding team prayers and other religious activities.

    “It’s come to our attention that Coach Sanders has continued to entangle the university’s football program with religion and engage in religious exercises with students and staff,” the Wisconsin-based Freedom From Religion Foundation wrote in a recent letter to university executives pointing to a post-game prayer with the Colorado Buffaloes team following their win over Baylor University last month.

    Prior to the delivery of a prayer by Pastor E. Dewey Smith of House of Hope Church in Atlanta, Georgia, Sanders is recorded declaring to the team: “If you don’t believe in the Lord, you better believe in Him now.”

    Smith then delivered the prayer thanking God for the victory.

    “God, we thank you tonight for victory, thank you that you kept us relatively safe. Thank you that in spite of our imperfections you still blessed us, Lord. And thank you for being with us to the end. Lord, some people call it Hail Mary, some people call it karma, some people call it luck, but in my faith tradition we call it Jesus,” Smith said.  

    Samantha F. Lawrence, a staff attorney for FFRF, said in the organization’s letter that Smith appeared to be serving as the team’s chaplain despite assurances from the university in January 2023 that Sanders had been advised about, and appeared receptive to “the boundaries in which players and coaches may and may not engage in religious expression.”

    “Coach Sanders’ team is full of young and impressionable student athletes who would not risk giving up their scholarship, giving up playing time, or losing a good recommendation from the coach by speaking out or voluntarily opting out of his unconstitutional religious activities — even if they strongly disagree with his beliefs,” Lawrence argued.

    “Coaches exert great influence and power over student athletes and those athletes will follow the lead of their coach. Using a coaching position to promote Christianity amounts to unconstitutional religious coercion,” the letter further claimed. “The University of Colorado must again take action to protect its student athletes’ First Amendment rights.” 

    “Coach Sanders needs to understand that he was hired to coach football, not to force student athletes to engage in his preferred religious practices. He must cease infusing the football program with Christianity. We request notification in writing of the actions the university is taking to ensure that Coach Sanders will cease proselytizing student athletes for good.”

    The University of Colorado did not immediately respond Monday when asked for comment about the FFRF’s demand letter.

    The FFRF has requested that the university provide all football program, university or athletic department records related to Pastor E. Dewey Smith’s involvement with the football team, including travel plans, itineraries, and financial records, including payments and reimbursements, made to him.

    Also requested are records of all university and related policies and records provided to Coach Sanders regarding “making religious remarks, holding or leading prayers, promoting religion, or otherwise entangling the Football Program with religion while acting in his capacity as Head Coach.”

    While Sanders firmly believes in Hunter‘s potential to claim the Heisman Trophy, he acknowledges the challenges that lie ahead, particularly the stiff competition from other players like Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty.

    Travis Hunter’s Journey to the Heisman Trophy

    Hunter‘s odds to win the Heisman are strong, but he still trails behind Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty, who has had an explosive season with over 1,000 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns. Jeanty’s current odds sit at +270, while Hunter follows closely behind with +310.

    Despite being in second place, Hunter stands out in college football for his contributions to both offense and defense. With an 85.2% catch rate, 46 receptions, and 6 touchdowns, he ranks among the top receivers in the country.

    The University of Colorado’s football team, led by head coach Deion Sanders, will play the University of Central Florida Saturday in Orange County, Florida.

    Hurricane Helene has wreaked havoc in recent days across multiple states, including Florida, with a death toll over 40 and an expected $15 billion to $26 billion in property damage.

    Despite this destruction, Colorado’s social media team posted on social media Friday a computer-designed graphic showing safety Cam’Ron Silmon-Craig standing on a Florida beach with water up to his knees. 

    The post said “24 hours,” an apparent reference to the countdown to the game Saturday. The post was later deleted from Colorado’s social media account.

    The image also had a sign in the background that said “Beware of Sharks,” an apparent reference to Silmon-Craig’s nickname, “Shark.” 

    Fox News Digital has reached out to the Colorado football program for comment but had not received a response before the time of publication. 

    Flooding has been one of the biggest destructive forces of the hurricane, beginning along Florida’s coast well before Hurricane Helene made landfall, with rapidly rising waters reported as far south as Fort Myers on the state’s Gulf Coast.

    FOX Weather’s Ian Oliver said the surge quickly flooded streets around St. Pete Beach Thursday evening, with high tide several hours away.

    The hurricane made landfall in Florida’s Big Bend region, after intensifying into a catastrophic Category 4 hurricane with winds of 140 mph.

    The monster hurricane is unleashing a potentially “unsurvivable” 20-foot storm surge, catastrophic hurricane-force winds and flooding.

    The National Weather Service in Tallahassee issued a rare extreme wind warning for several counties in the Big Bend ahead of the approach of the eyewall.

    The National Hurricane Center (NHC) said there is a significant risk of a life-threatening storm surge along the entire west coast of the Florida Peninsula, as well as Florida’s Big Bend region because of Hurricane Helene’s massive size.

    Due to the storm, Saturday’s game between Colorado and UCF was moved inland to Orlando. 

    Sanders spoke about the weather before the Baylor game, saying the team was preparing as if it was not going to rain. Sanders bickered with a reporter who asked about his plans for the rain.

    “I’m one of those good weathermen … 30% (chance of rain) is 70% (chance) it won’t. Let’s do drills that say, ‘It won’t rain,’” Sanders said at a press conference this week. 

    The game will mark the first-ever meeting between Colorado and UCF. The Knights became a Division I program in 1996 and joined the Big 12 in 2023.

    Deion Sanders chastises media for “attacking” college football players

    Hall of Famer and Colorado coach Deion Sanders had spent plenty of time recently challenging, and freezing out, reporters who dared to criticize him. Now, Deion is focusing on media members who criticize players.

    “The landscape has changed in football,” Sanders said Tuesday at a press conference. “Once upon a time, you guys never attacked college players. Now, they’re making more money than y’all, and some of y’all are envious and jealous about that. So you’re on the attack. It was hands off a college player because he’s an amateur. Remember? Remember that, guys? Now, it’s hands-on. Go at ‘em, any kind of way you want. They’re making more money than me, and I’m mad about it. When you attack ‘em, attack ‘em, attack ‘em, these guys are sensitive. They’ve never been attacked. They hadn’t gone through what a grown man — what I’ve been going through with y’all for years. They haven’t done that. So it is what it is. I know you’re gonna do your job and what you must do. But your job does not say, ‘Attack.’ Because if we flipped the script on y’all, y’all wouldn’t like it.”

    It’s too easy to attribute, and to dismiss, any form of criticism to jealousy. Besides, Sanders made the point that players are now getting paid; some would argue that the long-overdue receipt of real compensation makes them professional players, justifying criticism that previously was rare. (But not, if you recall Mike Gundy’s I’m-at-man-I’m-40 rant, unprecedented.)

    Also, these kids are in many respects public figures. Especially those who receive significant compensation to appear in national commercials.

    And they’re all adults, past the age of 18. Old enough to join the military. Grown men. Not fully grown, but definitely not children.

    Moreover, reporters who go too far are subject to accountability that previously didn’t exist. Entire media outlets are dedicated to covering sports media. If a reporter makes it too personal or says something unfair, inaccurate, or just plain dumb, some other reporter who covers reporters will report it.

    Deion said the players are sensitive, that they haven’t dealt with criticism for years. For some, years of criticism thickens the skin. For others, no amount of experience at being criticized will make them suddenly not sensitive to scrutiny.

    It goes with the territory. It’s part of the price to be paid for getting paid so well, and for being in the public eye. Eventually, the best approach is to adopt the Charles Barkley mindset.

    As long as the postman shows up with the check on the first and 15th of the month, I don’t care what they say about me.
