Sarah Jessica Parker Visits Vikas Khannas Bungalow In New York City – See Post

Chef Vikas Khanna’s New York restaurant, Bungalow, has become a must-visit spot for eminent personalities travelling to the city. From Shah Rukh Khan, Boman Irani, and Aamir Khan to Jenna Fischer, Bungalow has been constantly hitting the headlines for all good reasons. And, this time Hollywood icon Sarah Jessica Parker paid a visit to the restaurant. Amazing right? The acclaimed chef shared a video on Instagram featuring the actress and television producer. In the clip, Sarah was learning the making of Rajnigandha incense along with Vikas, and her facial expressions proved her enthusiasm for the culinary fusion at the restaurant. She then enjoyed exploring the artistic offerings of the restaurant.

Sarah Jessica Parker also paid her respect to Vikas Khanna’s sister, Radhika Khanna, who passed away due to multiple organ failure in 2022 at 48. Following the incense-making session, she hugged the chef, revealing her grateful experience there. “The Quintessential NEW YORKER. Sarah Jessica Parker. Rajnigandha + Incenses + Light + Cuisine + Culture,” read the caption.

A couple of days ago, Aamir Khan was spotted making sweet Sheermal at Chef Vikas Khanna’s Bungalow. It was a delightful moment when Vikas hosted a reception for the Oscar-nominated film Lost Ladies (Laapataa Ladies) at his New York restaurant, and the “perfectionist” of Bollywood participated in a Sheermal making competition with a ‘Bungalow’ member, Mysha Rizvi. For those who don’t know, Sheermal is a traditional flatbread infused with the distinctive flavour of saffron, crafted from a blend of flour, ghee, salt, and sugar. Chef Khanna posted glimpses from the evening captured in a video on his Instagram handle, where the actor can be seen rolling the dough to prepare the dish with utmost perfection. Aamir’s joy during the competition was palpable, even though he lost to Mysha. Sharing the clip, Vikas wrote, “Today we had the most amazing competition of making “BEST SHEERMAL” between Aamir Khan & Mysha Rizvi. They both did an incredible job, and finally, Mysha won.” Read on to know more.

  • ‘Olympic dreams just can’t be fulfilled on €25,000,’ says Sarah Lavin after signing new deal to carry her to LA 2028

‘Olympic dreams just can’t be fulfilled on €25,000,’ says Sarah Lavin after signing new deal to carry her to LA 2028

Lavin signed a new contract with Adidas for the new Olympic cycle a few weeks ago which ensures she can remain as a professional athlete. The 2024 World Indoor finalist will now target her third Olympic Games. Lavin received funding of €25,000 under the 2024 International Carding Scheme from Sport Ireland but she says Olympic dreams can’t be sustained on that level of funding without commercial earnings.

“I have re-signed with Adidas so LA here we come. Often after an Olympic cycle, people ask you are you going again? And sometimes it’s not always your choice.

“I remember as a kid watching Derval [O’Rourke] on The Late Late Show and she was talking about how little funding she got and that was 20 years ago,” said Lavin, who launched the Federation of Irish Sport 2024 Volunteers in Sport Awards.

“The highest level of carding is €40,000 in this country and for finishing fifth at a World Indoors you’re on €25,000. You can’t live off €25,000 a year without the commercial input and sponsors. Olympic dreams just can’t be fulfilled at that level. Some athletes don’t even have that.”

Lavin has become a regular finalist at major championships. At the World Indoor Championships in Glasgow in March, she finished fifth in the final of the 60m hurdles. She qualified for the final of the 100m hurdles at the European Championships in Rome in June but she hit the second hurdle and finished in seventh place.

At the Paris Olympics, she finished sixth in her semi-final and Lavin (30) believes her best years are still ahead of her.

“I take huge heart that Derval won a major medal at 33. OK, I’ve just turned 30. I also think given the fact that I didn’t have quite a straightforward career transitioning from a junior to senior, I get a lot of enjoyment out of simple things and if I had that perfect transition I might be slightly bored of it. I certainly am not. I relish every opportunity.

“I think just to have that boost [new contract] is really exciting. Obviously, I wanted to run quicker than 12.6 but I did run 12.6 twice and that is pretty quick on the grand scheme of things and [I was] fifth at the World Indoors this year, ran a PB five times indoors.

“I think heading into next year knowing that there’s a European Indoors, a World Indoors and a World Championships again, three majors. I’m determined.”

Lavin believes it would help greatly if her coach was able to work with her on a full-time basis in her bid to get to the next level. Noelle Morrissey receives the annual funding support of €10,000 from Athletics Ireland but Lavin believes it is inadequate.

“€10,000 is not sufficient to work the 20 hours of contact time that’s required to be a coach at the highest level, and that’s not including the planning of programmes, sessions, travelling,” Lavin added. “I know what I can do, Noelle and I, but we’re doing this on literally bare minimum of support for Noelle.

“In an ideal world, the dream would be that Noelle is a full-time coach. That contact time is really beneficial to us. We’re trying to push everything we can do from a training perspective but it comes down to simple things: time together.

“I fully believe we’re getting closer and closer. My consistency has been getting better and better and I just really want to deliver that major medal.”

Sarah Jessica Parker loves her fans, but she hates that people have grown comfortable touching her without asking permission first.

Sarah Jessica Parker has spent most of her life as a star. Her Hollywood career started when she was just 11 years old. As a child, she was best known for her stage work, but her role as Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City as an adult is by far her most famous. She’s grown used to being recognized on the streets of New York City and being stopped by fans. Still, there is one aspect of her celebrity lifestyle that she’s never gotten used to. In 2019, Sarah Jessica Parker revealed that it freaks her out when strangers touch her.

Sarah Jessica Parker hates being touched by fans

In a 2019 chat with the Herald Sun, Parker discussed her longstanding career and what it’s like to be a celebrity on the streets of New York City. The actor famous for portraying Carrie Bradshaw insists she loves her fans’ enthusiasm. Still, she’s never gotten used to being touched by complete strangers without them asking first.

She told the publication that selfie culture has given rise to people simply grabbing her to snap a photo. Parker admitted that the practice makes her feel uneasy and can create a hostile environment. She revealed that it makes her anxious when there is no conversation and someone just runs up to her for a photo. While Parker happily takes pictures with fans, she said she much prefers a conversation over a selfie request. Parker isn’t the only celebrity who has spoken out on the topic in the past. Several celebrities have complained about the aggressive nature of fans in today’s culture.

Where does Sarah Jessica Parker live?

Parker might run into fans more often than most celebrities. The star has spent most of her career living and working in New York City. The city’s culture pretty much demands that residents spend a good deal of time out in public. As a city dweller who lives in the West Village, Parker spends her time walking around the city, just like everyone else.

She doesn’t utilize car services nearly as often as her iconic character, either. In 2023, Parker revealed she still regularly takes the New York City subway, something Carrie almost never did. During an appearance on The Howard Stern Show, she admitted that she uses the subway all the time because it’s the most efficient way to get from appointment to appointment.

  • What to stream: Coldplay, an unhinged Charlie Puth, ‘Salem’s Lot,’ Sarah Paulson and NHL 25

What to stream: Coldplay, an unhinged Charlie Puth, ‘Salem’s Lot,’ Sarah Paulson and NHL 25

Coldplay’s 10th studio album and the American Music Awards celebrating their 50th anniversary are some of the new television, films, music and games headed to a device near you.

Also among the streaming offerings worth your time as selected by The Associated Press’ entertainment journalists: Sarah Paulson plays a woman in fear of a sinister presence in “Hold Your Breath,” EA Sports’ NHL 25 lands and Charlie Puth stars as himself in “The Charlie Puth Show,” a mockumentary series on Roku.

    — As if being a mother in the 1930s Dust Bowl wasn’t stressful enough, Sarah Paulson and her children are living in fear of a sinister presence in “Hold Your Breath.” Coming to Hulu on Thursday, this psychological thriller from Karrie Crouse and Will Joines co-stars “The Bear’s” Ebon Moss-Bachrach as a mysterious character who arrives at their home amid worries over a murderous drifter at large. On top of all of this, her daughter becomes obsessed with a storybook fable about The Grey Man, who comes into people’s homes as if made of dust and, when breathed in, turns his victims into villains.

    — Speaking of “The Bear,” the new Blumhouse film “House of Spoils” leans into the horror element of opening a restaurant (albeit on a remote estate with a haunting presence, two things Carmy has yet to deal with). Oscar-winning “West Side Story” actor Ariana DeBose plays the ambitious chef at the center of Bridget Savage Cole and Danielle Krudy’s film, which also features Barbie Ferreira (“Euphoria”) and Arian Moayed (“Succession”). “House of Spoils” arrives on Prime Video on Thursday.

    — Writer-director Gary Dauberman adapts Stephen King’s “Salem’s Lot” in a new film coming to Max on Thursday. Lewis Pullman, of “Top Gun: Maverick,” stars as a man who comes back to his small Maine town to try to finish his book, but unfortunately that town is being terrorized by a vampire. It’s so far divided critics, some declaring it among the best King adaptations, others on the opposite end. But the author seems pleased. In February, King wrote on X that, “I’ve seen the new SALEM’S LOT and it’s quite good. Old-school horror filmmaking: slow build, big payoff.”

    — Netflix also has the Sundance breakout “It’s What’s Inside” coming Friday, Oct. 4, in which a reunion between college friends turns into a nightmare with the arrival of a suitcase and a strange game. Jourdain Searles, in her IndieWire review, wrote, “It’s a loud, colorful, frantic, and pitch-black horror comedy about identity that mercilessly critiques modern anxiety about desirability and success. Scary!”

    — There’s nothing worse than a self-serious pop star, and thankfully, Charlie Puth appears to know that more than most. In a new Roku channel mockumentary titled “The Charlie Puth Show,” the “See You Again” singer stars as a fictionalized version of, well, himself — a musician looking to maintain relevancy by starring in a reality show. Expect a few A-list cameos, too, for this parodic take on the current cultural zeitgeist. Talents like Will Ferrell, Dorinda Medley and Courteney Cox make an appearance.

    — Coldplay’s expansive alt-contemporary rock fills stadiums around the world; on record, they turn a simple sing-along phrase into a soaring mantra. The repetitive “la la la” on “feelslikeimfallinginlove” is evidence enough, or the chorus on the stuffed “WE PRAY,” which features Little Simz, Burna Boy, Elyanna and TINI. Both appear on the band’s 10th studio album, “Moon Music.” They’ve cornered the market on Earth; where else would they head?

Finneas, the second-youngest person to win two Oscars (he’s just behind his sister and principal collaborator, Billie Eilish) is gearing up to release his sophomore solo album, “For Cryin’ Out Loud!” Most are likely familiar with his production work, less so his own ambitious material — luckily, it’s not too late to dive into the dreamy pop-rock of “Cleats,” or the funky, frustrated title track, “For Cryin’ Out Loud!”

    — The American Music Awards are celebrating their 50th anniversary on Sunday, Oct. 6, with a television special airing live on CBS and available to stream on Paramount+ at 8 p.m. Eastern/5 p.m. Pacific. Viewers can expect a few brand-new performances from Brad Paisley, Chaka Khan, Gladys Knight, Green Day, Jennifer Hudson, Kane Brown, Mariah Carey, Raye and Stray Kids, as well as artist interviews and previously unreleased footage from AMAs past. Consider it appointment viewing for those who love award shows.

    — The Netflix coming-of-age romance series “Heartstopper,” focused on teens Charlie and Nick, returns Thursday. In the new season, Annette Badland of “Outlander” and Jonathan Bailey of “Bridgerton” join the cast.

    — Season 2 of NBC’s hit series “Found,” starring Shanola Hampton, kicks off Thursday. Hampton plays Gabi Mosely, a woman who survived kidnapping and a lengthy imprisonment as a teen. She now runs a firm that specializes in finding missing people — particularly Black and brown people who normally don’t get the media coverage that a missing white person receives. In the first season, Mosely harbored a big secret that she had taken her former kidnapper (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) captive and was keeping him in her basement. In this season, he’s escaped. Episodes also stream on Peacock.

    — Movie and television studies love a franchise where they can make sequels and bank on dollars at the box office a la “Deadpool & Wolverine.” The new comedy series “The Franchise” follows the behind-the-scenes mayhem of filming a movie in an unpopular franchise. It stars Himesh Patel, Aya Cash, Billy Magnussen, Richard E. Grant and Daniel Brühl. The series premieres Sunday, Oct. 6, on HBO and streams on Max.

    Alicia Rancilio

    — It’s a special time of year for those of us who are fans of lousy baseball teams (ahem, Washington Nationals). The National Hockey League season is right around the corner, and EA Sports’ NHL 25 is coming with it. This year’s edition features ICE-Q, revamped artificial intelligence that’s intended to make your computer-controlled teammates more reliable and accurate. Franchise mode has been streamlined to make stat tracking, trades and contract negotiations easier. Perhaps you and a friend like to play over and over with the same teams? The new Grudge Match system keeps track of your head-to-head records, raising the stakes whenever you face off. The cover models know a little about sibling rivalries: They’re the Hughes brothers, Jack and Luke of the New Jersey Devils and Quinn of the Vancouver Canucks. The puck drops Friday, Oct. 4, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox X/S.
