Ghee and butter are what make our food taste divine. Just a spoonful of them, and they instantly elevate the flavour of our dishes. Without them, it feels like something is lacking, doesn’t it? As much as we love adding these golden delights to our food, they are not suitable for everyone. People suffering from lactose intolerance, in particular, may have to resist indulging in them. But is this really true? Should you avoid butter and ghee completely if you’re lactose intolerant? Or is it alright to consume them occasionally? Recently, nutritionist Amita Gadre took to her official Instagram page to spill the beans on this. Before we find out, let’s understand what lactose intolerance really is and what the symptoms of this health condition are. Also Read: If You Experience These 7 Signs, You May Be Lactose Intolerant

What Is Lactose Intolerance?
In simple terms, lactose intolerance is a digestive condition that makes it difficult for the body to digest lactose – a sugar found in milk. Amita shares that this mainly occurs due to a deficiency of the enzyme lactase in our bodies. When lactose is not properly digested, it can lead to several problems such as acidity, bloating, and burping.
What Are the Symptoms of Lactose Intolerance?
Stomach pain and cramping
Nausea
Vomiting
Diarrhea
Constant burping
Bloating and gas
Here’s What the Expert Revealed:
So, can you have ghee or butter if you’re lactose intolerant? According to Amita, this depends on how much lactose each of them contains. She reveals that ghee contains very little lactose, making it suitable for those with lactose intolerance. Ghee is also pure fat, and when boiled extensively, it leaves behind just fat without any lactose. Butter, on the other hand, retains more lactose compared to ghee, so you may not tolerate butter well. But ghee is generally safe, and you can consume it in moderation. Domestic brokerage house Motilal Oswal Financial Services (MOSL) initiated coverage on Raymond Lifestyle, a recent spin-off from Raymond Ltd, with a ‘buy’ rating and a target price of ₹3,200, suggesting an upside potential of over 35 per cent for the stock.
Following the announcement, shares of Raymond Lifestyle surged more than 5.5 per cent in Monday’s trading session. MOSL projects that the company’s revenue and net profit will grow at a compounded annual growth rate (CAGR) of 11 per cent and 15 per cent, respectively from FY24 to FY27.

“Although the valuation of Raymond’s Lifestyle (RLL) business has almost doubled since the demerger, the stock is currently trading at a relatively lower P/E and an EV/EBITDA (pre-Ind-AS-116) of 25x and 16x on FY26E, respectively. The valuation is significantly lower than that of our Coverage Universe and other retail and discretionary companies, which are valued at an EV/EBITDA of ~35-40x on FY26E. While RLL benefits from strong brand affinity, its valuation has been impeded by sluggish execution in the past (volatility in PAT growth over FY10-20). However, as RLL continues to exhibit a positive growth trajectory, characterised by revenue/PAT CAGR of 11%/15% over FY24-26E, we believe valuations could re-rate,” said the brokerage.
“Additionally, we anticipate a return on invested capital (ROIC) of 24%, 26%, and 30% in FY25, FY26, and FY27, respectively. With improved FCF generation, RLL could look to increase shareholder returns through dividends,” it added.
Raymond Lifestyle emerged as a standalone entity after the demerger from Raymond Ltd, positioning itself as a pure-play lifestyle company. With a strong presence in the men’s wear segment, RLL commands a significant market share of around 65 per cent in worsted suiting. Its portfolio includes a wide range of branded textiles, operating in both B2B and B2C segments. The company also boasts several popular apparel brands, such as Park Avenue, ColorPlus, and Ethnix by Raymond, catering to formal, casual, and ethnic wear categories. Notably, RLL holds about 5 per cent of the men’s wedding wear market, showcasing its prominence in the sector.

In terms of stock performance, Raymond Lifestyle was listed on the NSE on September 5 at ₹3,020. The stock has gained over 17 per cent from its post-listing low of ₹2,081. However, it still trades below its listing day close of ₹2,869. Despite this, analysts remain optimistic about the stock’s future, supported by the company’s solid brand presence, wide distribution network, and ambitious growth plans.
Investment Rationale
MOSL highlighted several growth drivers for RLL, including its fast-paced expansion in branded apparel, targeting a doubling of its exclusive brand outlets (EBOs). The company is also positioned to benefit from Bangladesh+1 and China+1 trends in B2B garmenting, it said. Additionally, the launch of new categories like innerwear and sleepwear as well as a shift towards casualisation and premiumisation of its product portfolio are expected to contribute to its growth, said MOSL. Enhanced sourcing efficiencies due to scale could further improve its operating leverage.
In recent years, Raymond Group has undertaken strategic initiatives such as demerger of its lifestyle and real estate businesses, restructuring of its engineering division, and sale of its FMCG business. These moves have streamlined the group into distinct listed entities focused on lifestyle, real estate, and engineering, aimed at enhancing shareholder value. Each business is professionally managed with a focus on maintaining a net cash balance sheet, optimising costs, and effectively managing working capital.

Despite historically facing challenges related to growth, profitability, and a high working capital cycle, RLL has made significant progress, the brokerage said, adding that it has improved its working capital management, achieved a net cash position ahead of schedule, and enhanced its pre-IFRS EBITDA margins through store rationalisation and cost control measures.
Under the leadership of Sunil Kataria, former GCPL executive, RLL’s margins have improved to approximately 12 per cent in FY24, up from single-digit levels between FY17 and FY20. Going forward, RLL is focused on accelerating growth in branded apparel, expanding its network, and introducing new categories such as sleepwear and innerwear, alongside scaling up its Ethnix by Raymond brand.

Kim French is revealing the workout behind her amazing glutes – in her workout gear. In a recent social media post the fitness influencer flaunts her famous behind in a two-piece exercise set during a sweat session at the gym. “Spicy glute focused leg day 🔥🌶That triset will make your buns NUMB 😵,” she writes in the caption of the series of Instagram clips. “Listen ladies, I cannot make you get up and get your workouts done every day, but I can help with exactly what to do to get the best possible results for your efforts!” What is the workout and how does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.
Shutterstock
Three months after having her second child, Kim decided it was time to get back into shape. She was 182 pounds, 40 pounds heavier than her pre-pregnancy weight and she was regularly, “binge eating just to get through the sleepless nights,” she told Women’s Health. “So I decided to cut calories and start running, which I had never done before. With my new routine, I started to see changes on the scale, but I felt miserable. I didn’t enjoy running very much, and I was starving all the time on my 1,200-calorie-a-day diet—but I thought ramping up my cardio and lowering my calories was the only way to lose weight. Plus, it was technically working.”
“When I hit 140 pounds, I was back to my more ideal weight, but was completely unhappy with the way I looked. I had lost a lot of body fat, but I was still wobbly—I was, as some people call it, ‘skinny fat.’ My husband, who works out religiously, convinced me to go to the gym with him. I had never been to a gym before in my life, but I agreed to go and just test a few of the weight machines. I was so nervous. I felt very intimidated and thought everyone was going to be looking at me, judging me for not knowing what I was doing,” she continued. “But when I got in there, I realized that everyone was doing their own thing and didn’t really take much notice of me. I tried a few machines and, to my surprise, liked it. I liked feeling sore, I wanted to tone up and get stronger, and I liked lifting more than I liked doing cardio—so I signed up and soon started going to the gym on my own.”
“In the beginning, I was following up my weight training with an hour of cardio. I wasn’t that strong and didn’t know exactly what I was doing, so I would just do the exercises on low weight and practice my form. After learning more about technique, I started doing just 30 minutes of LISS (low-intensity steady state) cardio after lifting weights,” she continued. “I liked doing cardio after my weights so I could use up the energy from my pre-workout meal on lifting, and then burn off the rest during a cardio portion. I usually started with heavy compound exercises such as squats, deadlifts, and hip thrusts, and then moved on to isolation exercises. I put a lot of focus and effort into my glutes, cranking out exercises like squats, deadlifts, glute bridges, hip thrusts, and using the hip-abduction machine. But I’d also deliberately mix up every single session to keep my muscles shocked and growing. After a few months of training I started to see noticeable differences in my muscles as they began to grow and tighten. My workouts now: Tuesday is legs/glutes, Wednesday is back/arms, Thursday is legs/glutes and Friday is shoulders. Sometimes this changes depending on my kids’ schedules, but that’s my usual routine.”
She also started eating more. “One of the biggest factors contributing to my success was ditching my 1,200-calorie diet. It was a struggle to get my head around eating all those extra calories since I didn’t want to put weight back on, but I just had to trust the process and forget about the scales. I discovered that the more food I fed my body, the more the muscles would grow, so I kept upping my calorie and protein intake until I was consuming 2,000 calories per day—and this is when I started to see the real progress, especially in my glutes, the area I focused a lot of effort on,” she told Women’s Health. “One thing I wish I had known from the beginning is that weight lifting increases your metabolism, which burns body fat faster—I put myself through such a miserable time with undereating and doing hours of cardio and home HIIT workouts, when what I really needed to be doing was lifting.”
“Now, I still eat 2,000 calories per day over five smaller meals. I eat every three hours starting at 9 a.m. and make sure each meal contains a ton of protein, adding up to at least 150 grams a day to help my muscles repair and build. I track my macros to make sure I am getting the right amount of protein, but I am not too strict about it. If I am hungry and I want a snack, then I have one. I listen to what my body needs, and what it wants—there aren’t any foods I will never eat. On the weekends, I allow myself treats; if I want chocolate then I will eat it, but I just try not to binge, and instead indulge in moderation,” she says.
“Are you ready to bake those cakes?” she asks in her recent post, revealing her go-to exercises for glutes:
DB Deficit Static Lunges – 12 reps per leg x 3. “Adding the deficit creates more ROM,” she says.
Barbell Sumo Deadlifts – 10 reps x 4
Triset x 3
~ Banded DB Hip Thrusts x 10 reps
~ Banded DB 1/2 rep Hip Thrusts x 10 reps
~ Banded Abductions x 50 reps
Smith Sumo Squats – 8 reps x 3
Landmine Squat into RDL – 8 reps x 3. “Notice how I’m not fully extending up and keeping constant tension in my glutes,” she says.

Dana Shemesh is sharing her transformation story in her workout gear. In a new social media post the bodybuilder shows off her strong physique in an impressive before-and-after photo. “Yes it’s me! #nevergiveup #transformationtuesday,” she captioned the Instagram snap. What is her story and how does she approach diet, fitness, and self-care? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.
On her website, Dana, who was born in Israel, explains how she found fitness. “Growing up, I loved dancing, art and playing volleyball. Being the youngest in my family made me both very competitive and independent. At age 18—like most young people in Israel—I served in the military for two years. After the army, I had studied graphic design at Hadassah College in Jerusalem and for several yearsI’d been working as an art director in the largest advertising firm in Tel Aviv. For years, it had been my dream, but it didn’t take long for me to feel exhausted and drained sitting at my desk, staring at a screen all day,” she says. “Through the stress of deadlines and long hours, I began to daydream and wonder about what would come next. My personal life also felt like it had been coming apart; I’d broken up with the boyfriend I’d had for the last nine years. My mom had just been diagnosed with cancer. I felt tired and unhealthy. So I decided to change my life; At 29 I stopped smoking and started to workout in a gym for the first time in my life! and I love it! I lost 25 Lbs and I felt healthier, and happier! That journey would soon completely change my life.”
Dana also revealed how she got into bodybuilding. “One day, a friend took me to a bodybuilding show in Israel. I loved seeing the impressive combination of strength, proportions and aesthetics—an art, like sculpture in real-life. It was a revelation that women could be strong and beautiful at the same time, and I was inspired to begin the journey myself. Soon, at 35 years-old, I stepped on stage and won 1st Place in my first bodybuilding competition in Israel. I was overwhelmed and full of joy and pride for what I was able to do in such a short time. Even if I hadn’t won that first show, I understood that there are huge rewards for persistence and determination,” she writes.
According to Dana, “Self-discipline is a superpower,” she writes in a post. “Unlock your superpower with self-discipline! Level up your productivity and achieve your goals like a champ. Stay focused, motivated, and accomplish anything you set your mind to. Embrace the power within you today!”
In her recent post, Dana reminds her followers that “age is just a number.” She writes: “It’s not just a myth it’s my lifestyle! What you choose to believe and what you choose to do daily, that what you’ll have in your life. BUILD YOUR LIFE NOW! Take responsibility on your health, on your body, on your future, on your happiness! 🙌 Yes it’s not easy but it worth it ‘Cause you have only one time to live! You can change your body any time you decide to, but don’t wait too long, ’cause when we’re getting older it’ll be harder! If I did it you can do it too! Let me help you to MAKE YOUR BEST VERSION OF YOURSELF.”df44d9eab23ea271ddde7545ae2c09ec
“IF IT DOESN’T CHALLENGE YOU IT DOESN’T CHANGE YOU!” she adds in the post. “Challenges are what change us and help us improve! Don’t be afraid of it! Challenges are part of how we grow. If you want to learn something new, it is, by definition a challenge. Life without challenges would be, at the least, quite boring. I’m not saying that we need to do wild and crazy challenges every day, but doing nothing challenging is really boring. While some may have a high tolerance for boredom, eventually everyone will want something more. So how do you challenge yourself? What change do you want to make? What would you like to improve? What is your dream? What makes you happy? Ask yourself and start today!”

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Zulal Wellness Resort by Chiva-Som, the first full-immersion wellness resort in Qatar and the largest in the Middle East, is sharing insights on the significant role lifestyle and environmental factors can play in breast cancer risks and sharing practical changes women can make in their daily lives to help reduce them.
As part of its commitment to fostering holistic health, the resort’s specialists will offer complimentary talks during October, highlighting breast cancer risk factors and the essential lifestyle changes to help mitigate them. These talks will also feature inspiring stories from breast cancer survivors who will discuss their personal journeys. Additionally, 10 percent of proceeds from coffee sales at the resort’s Casuarina Café will be donated to the Qatar Cancer Society.
These awareness insights aim to encourage women to adopt healthier lifestyles as a proactive and effective way to reduce their breast cancer risk. Everyday choices – from the food we consume to the products we use – can significantly impact our overall health. On 9th October, from 14:00–14:30, Zulal Wellness Resort’s Holistic Dietitian and Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Advisor, Nour Hasni, will offer a complimentary talk for public (Complimentary Talk), discussing how environmental factors and lifestyle choices (epigenetics) play a crucial role in breast cancer risk, alongside inherited genetics (genomics).
Epigenetics, where external influences can activate or suppress certain genes, play a vital role in each individual’s health. Helping them to understand this further, Zulal Wellness Resort is sharing some of the key everyday lifestyle and environmental hormonal-disruptors that are linked to breast cancer and the mindful adjustments that can be adopted to effectively lower the risk of developing breast cancer, including:
Chemical exposure in beauty and hygiene products. Common makeup and personal care products often contain harmful chemicals like parabens, synthetic oestrogens, and endocrine disruptors. Hasni recommends choosing only natural products with simple, minimal ingredient lists and exploring natural alternatives like essential oils where possible.
Plastics and household toxins. Chemicals such as BPA and phthalates, often found in plastic water bottles and household items, can be absorbed by the body and are difficult to eliminate. They not only elevate the risk of breast cancer but also contribute to cardiovascular issues. Switching to alternatives like glass or stainless steel helps to minimise exposure.
Cookware: Many modern cooking tools, such as aluminium, Teflon, and non-stick cookware, can release toxic heavy metals that the body struggles to process and eventually expel. To mitigate the risks, Hasni advises using stainless steel, glass or clay cookware, the latter of which can also enhance the nutrient profile of food and support overall well-being.
Processed foods and additives. Synthetic food additives, colourings, and seed oils are linked to a range of health concerns. Zulal Wellness Resort advocates for a diet that eliminates processed food, reduces red meat consumption, and focuses on organic, plant-based choices and the use of natural, extra-virgin oils like olive, avocado, or coconut. Increasing the intake of oestrogen-rich foods like grains, nuts, and seeds (for example, flaxseeds, anise, sesame, coriander seeds, etc.) can support natural regulation of hormone levels.
Diets rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and healthy fats, such as omega-3s, can significantly help reduce inflammation. Diets focused on whole, nutrient-dense foods can support the reduction of inflammation, may lower the risk of breast cancer, and support overall well-being.
Personal hygiene and clothing. Clothing and undergarments can influence overall health. Hasni suggests opting for breathable fabrics like organic cotton, linen, or wool to reduce the absorption of harmful substances through the skin and avoiding synthetic fabrics, which often contain chemicals. Similarly, switching to chemical-free household cleaners and hygiene products will reduce the body’s toxic load.
Stress management and detox. Stress is a significant contributor to poor health, including increased breast cancer risk. Zulal Wellness Resort provides insights on regular stress management techniques such as mindfulness, yoga, and grounding exercises. Hasni recommends grounding techniques – spending 10–15 minutes a day connecting the physical body with the earth – as a simple yet effective way to restore balance in body and mind.
Exercise and movement. Physical activity plays a crucial role in preventing a wide range of illnesses. Zulal Wellness Resort advises incorporating regular exercise, of every intensity level, whether that is strength training or aerobics, as part of a holistic approach to health. Exercise not only boosts immunity but also helps regulate hormones, maintain a healthy weight, and reduce inflammation.
EMF awareness. In today’s technology-driven world, electromagnetic field (EMF) exposure is unavoidable. To mitigate its effects, Hasni suggests placing plants known for absorbing EMF radiation, like cacti and spider plants, near electronic devices, work laptops/desktops and practicing regular “digital detoxes”.
These topics will also be addressed during the Breast Cancer Awareness Talk at Zulal Wellness Resort’s extensive library and relaxation space, House of Wisdom. On 16 October, from 10:30 to 12:00, two breast cancer survivors and members of the Qatar Cancer Society will share their personal stories, discussing their fight against cancer and their journeys to recovery. Additionally, the resort’s Health & Wellness advisors will cover genomics, how Zulal Wellness Resort supports both pre- and post-cancer care, essential lifestyle changes, and tips for maintaining a healthy life. Following the talk, guests are invited to enjoy complimentary lunch at Aizoon, the resort’s all-day dining restaurant. The Qatar Cancer Society has also prepared an informative guide on self-examination, which will be available at House of Wisdom until the end of October.
Zulal Wellness Resort believes that prevention is the best medicine. Through regular self-examination and informed lifestyle changes to reduce exposure to harmful environmental factors, people can take proactive steps to protect their health and lower the risk of diseases such as breast cancer.

Zoa modifies her diet for her workout goals. “In the off-season I might decide to take advantage of the extra work load I just lifted, and have a cheat meal, or a larger post-workout meal after a leg day. However, more frequently, I will utilize the principles of specific nutrient timing and will add a post-workout shake containing a balanced amount of fast acting carbs and protein immediately following my workout, with a solid meal shortly thereafter. I do a lot of volume training and often my leg day workouts may last longer than 1 hour so I will also sip on a carbohydrate drink during my workout. Of course all this shifts when I am on a more restricted diet during ‘cutting’ season and carbohydrates are typically lowered somewhat,” she told RXMuscle.
“My nutritional strategy is simple. Eat every 2.5 hours with a balanced meal of carbohydrates, protein and healthy fats,” says Zoa. “I eat 6-7 meals throughout the day, depending on how long my day is. I will typically keep carbs in all these meals right up to the last week of the show; however the portions of carbs get smaller as the protein portion stays high. I eat mostly whole foods and limit the amount of shakes I use and try to pick a wide variety of nutritional sources. As I said I will take in a post-workout high-glycemic carb/protein shake immediately following the workout, but from there it is whole foods.”
Zoa understands the importance of stretching. “I received the BEST STRETCH, I could feel my circulation improve, I felt lighter and more able to move. And that’s just one session! I highly recommend adding this to your self-care,” she writes in a post
“If I can help it I don’t do cardio in the off-season. Occasional low-intensity cardio is valuable to keep the heart healthy and energy levels high, however too frequently and you run the risk of tiring out and having your workouts suffer,” says Zoa. Again this is very individual and also depends on your genetics, diet and training intensity while in the weight room. For me, I train my legs very intensely and find that too much cardio makes me weaker and less able to handle the volume I like on leg day. I don’t necessarily believe that cardio itself holds back growth, but under-eating and over-training will cumulatively lower your body’s ability to recover and put on those extra pounds of muscle you want in the off-season.”
“Definitely legs are one of my favorite body-parts,” to train, says Zoa. “However of course it is sometimes a ‘love-hate’ relationship! Leg workouts are some of the most brutal workouts you can put yourself through, but the most gratifying in the sense of that when you leave the gym you KNOW whether you put it all out on the line or not. However, the longer I train and the more dense my muscle has become it has become easier and easier to get that same feeling of intensity on most of my other body parts. It’s all about your ability to focus in on that muscle and push it to the extreme.”
Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal took the initiative of working as a delivery agent for a day, accompanied by his wife, Gia Goyal. On October 6, he shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) recounting an unpleasant experience while picking up an order from Gurugram’s Ambience Mall. According to Goyal, he was barred from using the mall’s main entrance and was directed to take the stairs to the third floor. However, the ordeal didn’t end there – he wasn’t allowed to enter the mall and had to wait near the staircase with other delivery agents. We reached Ambience Mall in Gurugram to pick up an order from Haldiram’s,” the text in the video reads. The security guards stopped him from entering and told him to use the stairs. “I went to the main entrance again to check if there were any elevators for delivery partners. I took the stairs to the third floor only to realise we couldn’t enter the mall and had to wait by the stairs to receive the orders,” Goyal explained. He sat on the floor with the other delivery agents, “chilling” and gathering feedback from them. Eventually, he managed to sneak into the mall and collect the order while the guard took a brief break. After overcoming these hurdles, Goyal was “finally out for delivery.”
During my second order, I realised that we need to work with malls more closely to improve working conditions for all delivery partners. And malls also need to be more humane to delivery partners.
Reactions were quick to flow in the comments section. A person pointed out, “Every society, every mall and every office should make it mandatory for delivery partners to use normal regular lifts and entrances/exits. There shouldn’t be any divide.”

Echoing a similar sentiment an individual said, “It took you so long to address this issue but I’m glad at least you did it. This isn’t a problem of just malls. In fact, many societies don’t allow delivery partners to take the main lift.”
