    Swiggy Delivers 11,000 Vada Pavs In One Single Order, Sets Guinness World Record

    Online food ordering and delivery company Swiggy has set a new Guinness World Record in collaboration with actor Ajay Devgn and director Rohit Shetty. The new record has been made for delivering the largest vada pav order – 11,000 vada pavs – in a single delivery. The order was delivered using Swiggy’s newly launched XL EVs for bulk deliveries. The vada pavs were delivered to children from the Robin Hood Army, an NGO that focuses on fighting hunger through surplus food distribution across multiple locations in Mumbai.

    Mumbai’s iconic vada pavs were delivered by MM Mithaiwala, who collaborated with the upcoming film ‘Singham Again‘ team. Swiggy XL, a fleet of electric vehicles introduced to efficiently handle high-volume orders, played an instrumental role in achieving this Guinness World Record.

    The first stop was Airport High School and Junior College in Vile Parle, where Ajay Devgn, Rohit Shetty and Swiggy Co-founder Phani Kishan received the order, creating a Guinness World Record for the largest number of Vada pavs delivered in a single order. The vada pavs were distributed across Robin Hood Army-supported schools in Bandra, Juhu, Andheri East (Chandivali and Chakala), Malad, and Borivali.

    Phani Kishan, Co-founder and Chief Growth Officer, Swiggy said, “In the 10 years of Swiggy, we have delivered millions of vada pavs across Mumbai, and other cities. We’re going XL by teaming up with ‘Singham Again’ to set a Guinness World Record for the largest single food order for vada pavs. This exciting event perfectly captures Swiggy’s commitment to delivering food whether big or small-and celebrates the love for Mumbai’s iconic street food in a truly spectacular Singham style.”

    Speaking about the record, director Rohit Shetty said, “We are pleased to have collaborated with Swiggy for this record-breaking delivery of vada pav, bringing food and joy to children.     The event concluded with children enjoying the vada pavs, marking the success of this new Guinness World Record made by Swiggy and the ‘Singham Again‘ team.

    The living room of the Bigg Boss 18 house is expansive, offering separate corners where contestants can sit and have private conversations with their favorite people. The balcony overlooks the entire living room, adding a unique vantage point. With sofas and seating arrangements scattered across different spots, it seems the makers aim to encourage contestants to form smaller, distinct groups.

    This season, the Bigg Boss 18 house has reintroduced the jail area, designed to resemble a cave. Basic necessities like a bed and blanket have been provided for the contestant who ends up there. The jail also features a telephone, and it’s likely that Bigg Boss will use it to communicate commands directly to the person inside. It will be intriguing to see how many contestants find themselves in jail this season.

    In a return to the original format, the house features a single bedroom, but the beds are arranged on different levels, adding an element of mystery that will likely unfold as the season progresses.

    In an exclusive chat with Pinkvilla, Omung Kumar, the set designer of Bigg Boss 18, revealed that the makers wanted a theme that reflected the past. He explained, “Creating palaces to reflect the past theme would be extremely traditional, so we went back to the time of civilization and developed the concept of caves. We also incorporated hand paintings and stone carvings. India is so beautiful, with art everywhere, and we tried to bring that into the show.”

    The house tour of Bigg Boss 18 is sure to spark curiosity, with fans eagerly awaiting the show’s premiere. The host, Salman Khan, has already started filming for the season, and the contestants are set to enter the house today. On October 4, 2024, Salman Khan shot for the show, and a few viral photos of internet personality Anirudh Acharya surfaced on social media.

    So far, several contestant hint-promos have been released, further building excitement among fans.

    Chesney Hawkes, 52, last released music in 2012 when he put out his third studio album, Real Life Love.

    Son of Chip Hawkes, Chesney is  best-known for his first single The One And Only, written by Nik Kershaw.

    The One And Only featured, along with Chesney, in 1991 British comedy-drama Buddy’s Song. 

    The song was number one in the UK for five weeks and even reached the top-10 of the US charts.

    Now, Chesney is launching the ultimate comeback, in collaboration with Ed Sheeran and Lady Gaga producer Jake Gosling.

    Get A Hold Of Yourself will be released on September 18 and is available for pre-sale now. It hopes to approach the success of The One And Only, unlike its predecessors.

    Chesney told The Sun of the track, which will play on Radio 2 on the same day: ‘It’s really strange experiencing this all again – three decades later and with three decades worth of growing up.

    ‘It’s taken a long time to feel confident enough to really throw myself back into a project but growing up and feeling much more comfortable and freer within myself has allowed that to happen.

    ‘That’s what Get A Hold Of Yourself is about – getting hold of yourself and being free and not giving a f**k what people think. I think people are going to be surprised that this is a Chesney track. I can’t wait for people to hear it and think they will be surprised by the video for it!

    In April, Chesney revealed that he squandered £8.2million after finding such huge success aged just 19.

    Speaking on the My Dirty Laundry podcast, Chesney revealed he burned himself out with ‘utter exhaustion’ due to his ‘crazy’ lifestyle.

    Admitting he can relate to fellow stars Harry Styles and Ed Sheeran, he urges young people in the industry to ‘be careful and make sure they don’t burn out like he did.’

    Chesney admitted: ‘I did that classic thing when I first made it of just blowing everything. I bought a state of the art studio. I bought everyone in my family a car. So yeah, we had fun. 

    ‘My brother Jodie is my drummer and he was with me through the whole time. And yeah, we enjoyed it, because we were young. We were 19 and 17, and we toured all over the world – America, Japan, it was an amazing time.

    ‘It was like living in the eye of a storm. So I had my family and the people around me in this kind of bubble, you know? 

    ‘I would be thrown into the hurricane and I’d be gone. And then I’m off to Sweden and then I’m off to New York. I never knew where I was waking up for that first year. It was mental. It was really crazy.’
