Radio presenter Kyle Sandilands has revealed the reason why Jackie ‘O’ Henderson took two months leave from her KIIS FM show back in November 2022.

It was reported the mother of one, 49, made the tough decision to step away from co-hosting her radio show at the time to focus on her health.

However, Kyle has now revealed co-host Jackie actually took time off to focus on her appearance.

The radio hosts were speaking to Abbie Chatfield during Wednesday’s The Kyle and Jackie O show about ‘slut-shaming’ comments Kyle made on the air during Jackie’s absence.

‘If Jackie wasn’t away worrying about her own image, then this would never have happened,’ Kyle said.

‘Jackie was husbandless, fat, miserable and I backed her.’

At the time, Jackie announced she was stepping down from her KIIS radio show for health reasons.

Jackie, who had been coughing and sounding unwell on air for weeks, explained at the time she had been suffering from poor health since contracting Covid-19 a few months prior and needed proper rest to recover.

‘I’ve been not very well ever since I’ve had Covid… I’ve been struggling with this fatigue,’ she told listeners.

‘I just have to take some time off,’ she added. ‘I’m ending the show today. As in now.

She later opened up about the poor state of her mental and physical health.

‘It was hard to take that time off. I was pushing through but I should have taken it off earlier,’ she told News.com.au in January 2023.

She added: ‘I just could not push myself any further. I’m glad I took care of my health first because I feel like a million times better.’

Jackie focused on both her physical and mental recovery during the two months she was off the air and managed to both shed the kilos and mentally realign herself.

On Wednesday, Kyle revealed Jackie (pictured) took time off was to focus on ‘her look’

She said a tropical holiday in Fiji with her daughter Kitty, 13, saw her develop a healthy eating and sleeping routine which helped with her return to work in January 2023.

‘I started to get into different kinds of exercise like tennis and water aerobics. It is the most amazing exercise and works every muscle in your body,’ she said.

Jackie added it was important for everyone to recognise their limits and take a break when needed to prevent the risk of burn out.

‘Whatever position you’re in, I promise you’ll feel better about yourself when you start making steps towards that healthier lifestyle.’

The Aroostook Roller Derby Has Kept the Sport Alive for 11 Years and Counting

CARIBOU, Maine (WAGM) – Professional Roller Derby competitions started in the 1940′s and quickly gained popularity. Fast forward to today and it can be hard to find. A group in Caribou has been keeping the sport alive in the County for 11 years.

“In the roller derby scene you basically have blockers and you have jammers. The jammer is the person who’s going to do the scoring for you but the blockers need to protect that jammer, help them make a hole, and to be able to make laps around to score on the other team,” said the voice of the Aroostook Roller Derby Marcel “Megaphone” Bosse.

To be able to compete in this competitive sport takes individual talent and practice. But the team aspect is crucial.

“Well, wherever you go whenever you see one girl you’re seeing at least two or three more and these ladies, there’s also gentleman who participate in the roller derby, they’re very close knit, they all know each other well and they all have to work together. Any other team such as basketball team or football team or any of those teams. Even NASCAR teams, they all have to work together. One member needs to know what the other member’s going to do so they can work together and get the job done,” said Bosse.

The sport of Roller Derby is very fun but there is some danger to it.

“What we do is rough it is slightly dangerous. A fun fact is we had to have Roller Derby legalized in the state of Maine because we are literally assaulting each other. So we had to go in front of a board and get it legalized. So it’s very important that we all get along. You know, there’s very little pettiness and cattiness amongst us we are considered family on and off skates. We get together off skates as much as we do on skates so it is very important,” said Angela “Barrucuda Barbie” McCarty.

Even though Roller Derby is a physical contact sport. The Aroostook Roller Derby league takes precautions.

“The funnest part is that they’re pushing each other around nobody’s hurting each other they all have safety gear on. It’s a contact sport but not a violent contact sport. They’re not allowed to close a fist or elbow anybody or anything like that. It’s a matter of using the hips and pushing people out of the way, basically a shoulder-to-shoulder type thing. There’s contact but not contact that’s going to hurt anybody that’s what they’re trying to avoid,” said Bosse.

The league isn’t exclusive to anyone. They meet 6-8PM on Tuesdays and 9-11AM on Sundays.

“There’s still people almost 11 years later that are like I didn’t know this was around here I didn’t know it existed. It’s like really? Why don’t you come watch I try to get people just to pop into practice all the time because you are free to show up and check us out when we’re practicing so I really want people to know that yes it’s dangerous but that’s why you wear full gear, that’s why there’s seven refs to a game and that’s why there’s so many rules and there’s legal target zones from here to here there’s no hitting in the back. There’s a lot of safety involved,” said McCarty.

Even if you’re worried about the contact, they are in need of referees and other non-skating positions.

Messages show him playing a leading role in buying and supplying drugs across Widnes and other towns and cities across the UK.

He would also act as a ‘middleman’ within the supply network, arranging for the sale and distribution of drugs between potential buyers and sellers.

In what cops have described as a ‘hands off’ role, he would direct others to carry out his bidding while reaping the profits.

‘He was at the highest level running a serious and large-scale commercial drugs business supplying substantial amounts of cocaine, heroin, and cannabis.

‘He chose to do this by operating under the radar, using an encrypted and sophisticated device that would keep his communication secretive in order to avoid detection.

‘He painted himself as a successful business man and even bought books on property investment, but in reality, it was all an illusion. His Rolex watches were fake, and he was unable to use his money in any legitimate way.

‘After EncroChat was infiltrated officers were able to comb through the messages attributed to Davies that led to his arrest and being put behind bars for a long time.’

Tiger Woods is known for being the richest golfer in the world, but how rich is he exactly? In a recent video by Don Harvey, on his YouTube channel, fans got a lot more than just a sneak peek into the GOAT’s lavish lifestyle by his long-term caddie Steve Williams.

Williams is a renowned caddie in the golf world and he partnered with Woods from 1999 to 2011. As many of you already know, Williams played a very important role in shaping Woods’s career in the time he was with him. In the 12 years Woods worked with Williams he achieved 13 of his 15 major victories, which included four Masters titles, three U.S. Open titles, three Open Championship titles, and three PGA Championship titles. Everyone knows the effect Williams’s guidance has on Woods but what many do not know is that Williams saw Woods very closely in his years of caddying for the golfer.

According to Williams, he had experienced a lifestyle that only a few other New Zealanders had, after he stayed at Woods’s place. He went on to explain his experience living with Woods and also revealed that one popular sports entity was their neighbor. “Tiger lived in a gated community when I first came. He lived there, and um, Shaq used to live in the same gated community as Tiger”, said Willaims. He continued by saying that the experience was always entertaining with Woods’s customized cars and boom boxes on full display. “These guys make exponential kind of money, and they have properties that are, you know, like… you can’t even fathom what they’re like”, he said, recalling his days living with the world’s greatest golfer.

In an interview with Sportsnet, Steve Williams recalled the humorous story of his first encounter with Tiger Woods. When asked if it was true that he had hung up on Woods the first time he called, Williams gave a light laugh and said, “Yes. It’s a funny story because I have a mate who can imitate Tiger to a tee”. Williams explained that he had just arrived in Miami from New Zealand and thought the call was from a friend imitating Woods’s voice. “I put the phone down, thinking it was my mate Bob,” he said. After the phone rang again, Williams responded with in a harsh tone and told the caller to “give him a break”.

It wasn’t until the third call that Williams realized it was actually Woods on the line. He recalled what Woods said when he finally picked up the phone, “‘Steve, I’m looking for a caddie. Are you interested?’”. Williams also knew that the golfer wasn’t participating in the tournament he was caddying in at the time so they decided to meet in Orlando after the event. “That’s how it started,” Williams said, reflecting on the unlikely beginning of his 12-year partnership with Woods.
