The developer Indiana Jones and the Great Circle shared that the development of the open game world has become the most difficult moment in the project.
Machinegames, known in the series Wolfenstein, got used to linear shooters where gamers fight enemies with the hordes. But Indiana Jones is a completely different hero. However, apparently, the upcoming addition of The Order of Giants can combine the best of both approaches.
DLC to some extent still reflects the old model. It is more linear than some parts of the main game, but there are sites – when you go to the streets of Rome, and specifically under the streets of Rome – where the game becomes more open.
