VOLLEYBALL

Courtland 3, King George 0: Sophia Morin led the Cougars with 10 kills to secure the Battlefield District victory 25-21, 25-14, 25-10 over the Foxes.

Allison Meyer, Chelsea Quaye and Carolina Eastlake each contributed seven kills in the road win, Aubrey Parker added 10 digs and three aces, and Makailah Ford had six aces and four kills.

Courtland (12-1, 7-0) will travel to Massaponax on Monday as the Panthers host DigPink night.

Fredericksburg Christian 3, Seton 2: Kambri Carahan led the Eagles with 14 kills in the home victory.

Grace Khoury and Abby Rexrode added 12 kills each and Chloe Borisuk had 39 assists for Fredericksburg Christian (16-1).

Caroline 3, James Monroe 1: The Cavaliers earned the Battlefield District road victory 25-21, 26-24, 21-25, 25-20 with Riley Forehand leading the attack, earning 28 kills and three aces over the Yellow Jackets.

Kayla Veney added 34 assists, 16 digs, and three kills and Ally Muhlencamo had 10 kills and six aces for Caroline (9-7, 5-2) will travel to Spotsylvania on Tuesday.

FIELD HOCKEY

Chancellor 10, Eastern View 0: Hailey Waurio banged home a cross from Ellen Gallagher 14 seconds into the game to set the pace for the Chargers against the visiting Cyclones.

Chancellor got goals from six different players as they improved to 9-0 in the Battlefield District and 9-1 overall. Eastern View dropped to 2-5 in the District and 3-5 overall.

Adelyn Watkins led the way for the Chargers with three goals and three assists. Sofia Vivas and Ava Cook each contributed two goals while Maddie Anderson and Makayla Forrester also scored. Gallagher had three assists and Waurio, Anderson, and Forrester each had one assist.

Chancellor travels to James Monroe on Tuesday and Eastern View travels to Fauquier on Monday.

BOYS’ SOCCER

Seton 6, Fredericksburg Christian 3: Wyatt Dale led the Eagles with two goals in the home victory. Ethan Ognek added one goal and assist.

FCS (1-9, 0-4) will host Fork Union Military Academy on Tuesday.

Region 6B Tournament: Matt Hartley won individual medalist at Augustine Golf Club with a low score of 68 on Wednesday night to help Colonial Forge secure the regional victory with a team total of 296.
